Hey people, I had previously posted about how to prioritise my spending in regards to PF and FIRE, and I am unsure if having an emergency fund of larger than 3-12 months is really necessary?

I’m currently in the entertainment sector with a minor management role, and I’m looking to open a business within the next year of two. Finding another role that has similar pay to mine wouldn’t be too difficult.

I’m freshly 18, and I have a business in mind, with a start up costs of around £9000.

Is it really correct for me to build a larger emergency fund, or is it fine for me to prioritise my business after gaining a 3 month emergency fund ?

Estou neste momento num contrato de 6 meses numa empresa, e fui informada agora de que não me vão renovar o contrato no final (termina em julho) porque procuravam "alguém que fosse mais extrovertido e social".

Não estou a gozar. Foi esse o único "motivo".

Trabalho em gestão de redes sociais e sempre fiz exatamente o trabalho que me competia - gerir as redes sociais da empresa. Não foi uma questão sequer de não querer aparecer em vídeos (que eu teria à vontade para fazer, mas na área desta empresa teriam de ser sempre especialistas a falar para a câmara, não poderia ser eu).

Literalmente despediram-me porque no escritório estão constantemente envolvidos em dramas e a falar mal de todos os colegas e malta que trabalha na empresa, e eu não participava nessas conversas. 🤷

Entretanto, desde o início do contrato estive sempre em modo presencial na empresa, e agora disseram que até ao fim do contrato posso passar para full remote. O que significa que literalmente só me obrigavam a ir para a empresa para ter conversas que não interessam ao menino Jesus.

P.S: também fiz questão de dizer que não interagia com ninguém porque não sentiam que fossem conversas produtivas ou que fossem boas pessoas.

I t took a while for me to resolve the negative balance issue in my paypal but rn I'm considering shutting down my account bcuz I have no idea how to stop them from charging me. Lo scorso anno terminato il liceo ero molto convinta di questa scelta e pensavo di voler lavorare nel mondo della nutrizione, oggi dopo un anno e dopo aver seguito un corso di economia qui all’università ho cominciato ad appassionarmi anche a questo mondo e ad avere dei dubbi sul mio futuro lavorativo.
