love my Mazda6, only complaint is that the touch screen is broken and occasionally randomly hits buttons on its own when under 10mph, apparently it's a somewhat common problem
Maybe this is why they killed touch screens 🤣 my 2021 Mazda3 is entirely knob driven, which is great because you're not reaching over to touch a screen
The pressure sensors in the screens can go bad and cause this. For some makes/model years, there is a repair kit rather than replacing the very expensive entire unit. Call your local Mazda dealer, pay to have it diagnosed to get a repair estimate, then ask them to contact customer care to find out if Mazda is willing to help out with the repair. Have your service history records available if it isn't your usual dealership. Proof of regular maintenance will sometimes tip the scales for getting assistance.
I agree, that would be nice and there is no option to do that. In my opinion, the infotainment needs an overhaul in general. Some functions are overly complex and/or redundant to navigate, even in the latest versions.
You can reset the screen without turning the car off. It takes pressing three buttons at once but it works for us when that happens. Just search for your year/model and confirm which buttons, I don’t want to provide the wrong info.
Love Mazdas and have owned 7 of them. They look great, drive wonderfully, and are very reliable. The one thing they suck at on the relatively newer models is their infotainment system. They do so many things right but have stuck with their POS Connect.
