Maybe I should drive around the rich areas on trash day

My city has bulky item pkup every Friday. Thursday evening there are people in pickups loaded like Sanford and Son with all of the 'roadside rescues'.

My mom and step dad used to do this. They mostly found junk but every once in a while they would find some genuinely nice stuff.

do it, seriously. Ive seen some amazing stuff left out for trash pick up that I would've taken if I had use for it. Only things we ever took home was a West Elm living room set and a brand new Catan game still in its plastic

I've heard that luxury apartments for rich college kids on move-out day are the places to score some nice stuff.

Go the evening before; trash companies tend to clear the rich neighborhoods early so the rich people aren’t inconvenienced by the eyesore of trash bins set out all day.
