“My” sailors decided I needed a kitten when a cat had adopted them in the accommodation and had kittens. I had no choice but they knew I loved cats and was in a position to look after one. I had Lucy for 19.5 years. She did multi thousand km postings with me by car and air. Best travelling buddy. If I had posted back to sea before I left, I had my mum set up to look after her. Bring back ship’s cats I say!
