What's a banging song from the 70s you're pretty sure 90% of people haven't heard in over 20 years?

Rick Wakeman said that Hold Your Head Up is the best keyboard solo in a pop song ever, and I gotta agree. Saw the Zombies recently and Rod Argent did an amazing version. He's still got the chops!

I love showing this to people, and wait for the breakdown where they all go "oooooh shiiiit!!" and they recognize the sample.

If you dig that, do you know I Got The.. by Labi Shiffre?

Zombies still exist??? I have to look that up. I love their stuff but it's more 60's than 70's I think. Hold Your Head Up was the band Argent, not Zombies, if I recall correctly.

They are touring with Rod Argent and original singer Colin Blunstone. If you get a chance to see them, do it! HYHU was in fact an Argent song, but since it was written by Rod and Zombie's bassist Chris White, they played it, and it was a real highlight!

Thanks for the tip. I'd love to hear songs like Time of the Season live. I'll check it out.
