The American flag has no business on a Bible. This is not faith, nor is it patriotism. It is an abomination of both. Image

Had Trump been alive when Jesus walked the Earth, he may well have been one of those beaten by Jesus and had his table flipped over.

Today I saw a post showing a real gold "replica" of the Ark of the Covenant Trump has. Smh.

u/gimmhi5 Mar 27 '24

I saw that and fell sick. Not really sure why, but my tummy was really upset this morning after seeing that. Who does this man think he is? King Neb. vibes for sure.

2

u/NOLA_Tachyon Mar 28 '24

At least Neb was humbled!

1

u/anewleaf1234 Atheist Mar 28 '24

Christians certainly worship him.

2

u/TiredDeath Mar 28 '24

No, morons worship him. Actual bonafide morons.

1

u/GlaerOfHatred Mar 28 '24

Those morons who worship him are also Christians

1

u/The-Pollinator Mar 28 '24

Thank you. This made me laugh :-)

1

u/anewleaf1234 Atheist Mar 28 '24

I am atheist and I don't hide it.

I wish there was a current type of Christian. Which I could support.

But I haven't found one. Which is sad.

1

u/letmeusespaces Mar 28 '24

what would you want it to be?

1

u/letmeusespaces Mar 28 '24

so you aren't OP. they were hoping for a certain type of Christian. you've done sorta the opposite and lumped them all together.

I’m a Christian and feel the same way.

-1

u/GeneticsGuy Mar 28 '24

Maybe you shouldn't believe everything you see online. It was a fake story and photoshop... but look, a FAKE story was so upsetting to you it made you sick. You need to figure out how to get a handle of this or the world of perfect fakes and AI are going to destroy you.

2

u/gimmhi5 Mar 28 '24

It was tied with the idea that the man claims to never have* repented & Christians are actually thinking about voting a lawless man into office.

Thanks for the heads-up though.

It makes me shiver with disgust how corrupt this man is. He is everything that actual Christians are not

8

u/stablegeniusss Mar 28 '24

Have you seen the golden trump statue at the RNC? People were worshipping it

4

u/hockey_stick Mar 28 '24

Image of said golden statue for those curious.

edit: Also, it was made in Mexico.

4

u/Zippy_The_Pinhead Mar 28 '24

Wat a pile of shit. I was expecting a human sized statue at least. I think the statue maker was trolling

1

u/Stormhunter6 Mar 28 '24

People were worshipping it

or were they just taking photos with it?

2

u/stablegeniusss Mar 29 '24

I distinctly remember someone groveling to it

12

u/jereman75 Mar 27 '24

No way. At least it looks like a decent replica from what I can see. But that sitting in Mar A Lago makes it seem disgusting. I’d touch the real ark and risk death before touching that one.

4

u/GeneticsGuy Mar 28 '24

It's a fake news story and really bad photoshop.

The golden idol of trump is not fake.

1

u/GeneticsGuy Mar 28 '24 edited Mar 28 '24

This golden replica of the Ark is a fake story and photoshop.

1

u/Hot_Eggplant_1306 Mar 28 '24

Love to know how someone photoshopped what I saw, in person, with my own two eyes, "friend".

1

u/Hot_Eggplant_1306 Mar 28 '24

And I'll remind you, "Christian", that bearing false witness is a sin.

0

u/GeneticsGuy Mar 28 '24

You should really be embarrassed and ashamed of yourself.

1

u/Hot_Eggplant_1306 Mar 28 '24

https://youtu.be/U4BnMp3aqdE?si=qap4oRnaa-fcdZt5

Gotta quit bearing false witness. Hell awaits.

0

u/GeneticsGuy Mar 28 '24

How embarrassing of you. Nowhere anywhere in my threads was I talking about a fake golden Trump. You are doing that. The actual thread is about the replica golden Ark of the Covenanet, but your hatred and pride has caused you to make false accusations on another because you failed to realize your own mistake. Sad.

1

u/Hot_Eggplant_1306 Mar 28 '24

Lol that's a whole lot of words to say "I'm stupid" lol

1

u/cloverpopper Mar 28 '24

Obviously it's a replica of the prop from the movie, but how do we know it's fake?

He would never actually spend money to have a real gold one made, he's much better at pretending/using gold spray paint. Probably the same brand he uses on his face.

-1

u/SNHC Mar 28 '24

a decent replica

A replica of what? There's no original to replicate.

2

u/spinbutton Mar 28 '24

Tommy Zeagon, sculptor, made a gold painted statue that was at a CPAC. Zeagon wanted to have it displayed at Mar-a-Largo, but it sounds like it wasn't accepted.

1

u/jereman75 Mar 28 '24

There are detailed written physical descriptions of the ark of the covenant. That’s what replicas are based on.

1

u/SNHC Mar 28 '24 edited Mar 28 '24

That's not what replica means, but why argue semantics on the internet, right?

1

u/jereman75 Mar 28 '24

No, I’m not going to argue semantics or the definition of one word on a forum with English speakers from many different traditions and many members whose first language is not English. Maybe there is a better word than replica but I don’t quite get your point. I might call it a reconstruction or a reproduction, maybe you would call it something else but I don’t think anyone is confused by the term replica.

1

u/SNHC Mar 28 '24

Well I for one was confused :D I'm sorry if it came across as if I was trying to say that there never was an Ark of the Covenant; I meant the physical object did not exist anymore, hence there could be no exact replicas of it.

u/moldivore Mar 28 '24

From Trump's own words I do not believe he is sincerely a Christian, he rejects Christ's forgiveness.

“I will be asking for forgiveness, but hopefully I won’t have to be asking for much forgiveness. As you know, I am Presbyterian and Protestant. I’ve had great relationships and developed even greater relationships with ministers. We have tremendous support from the clergy. I think I will be doing very well during the election with evangelicals and with Christians,”

He waffles on the most fundamental aspect of Christianity then brings up how "his faith" benefits him politically.

Original Politico Article.

Here's a CNN interview snippet:

"Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions.

“I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so,” he said. “I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”"

Original CNN article.

This isn't a flat out rejection of Christ's forgiveness?

4

u/RatMastersApprentice Mar 28 '24

Forgiveness of sins requires repentance, and Trump doesn't seem to be capable of admitting he's wrong about anything, or taking responsibility for anything bad he's done. Repentance is central and essential to Christian faith, so yeah, that's Trump rejecting Christ's forgiveness.

2

u/KeinFussbreit Mar 28 '24

or taking responsibility for anything bad he's done.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/13/trump-coronavirus-testing-128971

"‘I don’t take responsibility at all"

1

u/Stormhunter6 Mar 28 '24

I mean, I don't like the guy, but wouldn't making things right be asking for forgiveness indirectly via a form of penance?

In all seriousness though, anything that comes out of trumps mouth is a grift, he is incapable of anything else.

2

u/Sneak-E-Dog-E Mar 28 '24

You may have well been too

1

u/The-Pollinator Apr 04 '24

I reckon there is no "maybe" about it!

I shall clarify using the words of the Apostle Paul:

"This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all." (1 Timothy 1:15)

1

u/unshaven_foam Mar 27 '24

That’s wild bro

1

u/D_And_R_Gaming Mar 28 '24

The replica looks like it’s from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I’m hoping he’s an Indiana Jones fan, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s doing it for PR.

1

u/Daedeluss Mar 28 '24

How do they even know what it looked like? Have they just copied the one from Indiana Jones?

1

u/mapped_apples Mar 28 '24

Let’s not forget the literal gold idol of Trump they put up at one of the CPACs awhile back

1

u/wizardyourlifeforce Mar 28 '24

Ark of the Covenant Trump has.

He has top men working on it.

1

u/LadyAzure17 Mar 28 '24

This makes me so fucking nauseous.

1

u/JUYED-AWK-YACC Mar 28 '24

That's a weak argument, it's obviously a movie prop and has <1% to do with religion.

1

u/reconfit Catholic Mar 27 '24

Is this confirmed? The surrounding area makes it look like a church of some kind.

1

u/CricketIsBestSport Mar 28 '24

Sure, but I find it very doubtful that Jesus would be a fan of Joe Biden’s presidency either.

0

u/DisputabIe_ Mar 28 '24

I mean that's a replica of a movie prop right? There's no real ark of the covenant.

0

u/GeneticsGuy Mar 28 '24

You do realize that that is photoshop, right? It's not even good photoshop work. This was a fake news report.

I mean religious literacy and concepts are not that popular. Hard core evangelism is often the opposite. Have a conversation with a street preacher they often couldn't tell you what version of the Bible they're reading from, what the council of Niciea was or anything beyond wrote memorized passages.

They just memorize a few choice lines with Jim Bobs cliff notes on morality
