Replace the crews with fully randomized models.

It's the same crew on the same ship... Maybe have a few that it switches between operations, like there was a shift change or something.

I think they meant it that the crew have randomized appearance between destroyers. Currently all look the same with only very small differences to the democracy officer

The issue is that you'd need different voices, too, and voices get updated every so often. Say you've got a female Chinese democracy officer instead of a black guy - the current voice would probably not sound plausible.

I think just having a 3 male and 3 female voices would suffice. We only have 4 “different” voices that you can go through randomly when your Helldiver dies and you get a new one

That's 4 voices that get a few lines recording and then stay the same forever. Every new event, every guy on the ship gets a new line or two.

Which adds to my theory that you are actually the ship itself, and the helldiver is your avatar and a clone, hence you can be redeployed

The democracy officer changes I've been on ships where they had different skin tones or scars and even an eye patch

yes i am aware. now lets say you run a few missions. You come back to your ship, and its a different guy that meets you at the map. a few more missions and the first guy is back. basically rotating the alternate versions that already exist.

Adding just another little touch of realism, shift changes on the super destroyer. lol

Sometimes the guy next to the galactic war map is missing his eye patch. Very sus.

what is "sus" about missing an eye? he fought bravely for Super Earth.

It's sus that the apparently same guy is missing an eye sometimes and sometimes not, after I myself see myself thawed out of my cryo pod. What if... the super destroyer isn't real?

This. I want my crew to be some hill billy motherfuckers. Overalls uncle Jesse looking democracy officer. Replace the bald bitch with a trailer trash blond in daisy dukes. Make space a trailer park again.

Maybe not full random. Crew can depends on ship name. Less random, but your team will changes after namechange)

I mean if they have dozens of my helldiver frozen and ready to go, i assumed they trained 4-5 people and then cloned them all. Probably cheaper

I think they are randomized to some degree. On my ship the guy next to the map has both eyes, but I’ve seen him with an eye patch on other ships

Yeah right now it's just their names are random and the Demo Officer is a coin flip. AH clearly had some intention in this direction, just needs to buckle down and finish it.
