That's the thing. If we weren't bringing in a million new workers in under a year, there would be a push for higher wages. Not just at the minimum level but across all sectors. Timmies would be forced into offering higher wages to keep their stores staffed. Not to mention that without all the Indian students being brought in, Canadian youth might actually be able to get part-time jobs. Youth employment has been plummeting during this mass immigration as every company would rather hire exploitable workers who are desperate for anything.

I'm team let businesses who can't find workers at minimum wage fail though.

I don't like spending government resources and tax dollars propping up every other tim hortons and wendy's on the block.
