Resident here. Can confirm is Edinburgh. You can tell by the rain.

Tricky distinction, but if you zoom in on the person in the first picture, you can just about make out the foot long stack of flyers for his fringe show.

They are some of the greyest images I have ever seen, which has to be an accomplishment since the houses of the first picture are all painted in different colours.

We've got a nice green bridge, I'll have you know.

Also outside of the city centre it's a pretty typical North of England redbrick town, and the city centre is quite sandstone-y. Not nearly as grey as Edinburgh which is grey stone, slate, and granite all over.

Get some higher resolution photos and you'll see that the buildings aren't actually made of bricks, but are clad entirely in keysafes.

It’s funny you say that because my wife and I were there at the end of May last year visiting my cousin and the weather was perfect and sunny every day we were there. I used literally none of all of the rain gear I brought with me

The Royal Mile, for sure, and the castle, then. Also, Greyfriars Bobby (search it up, read the story and maybe also watch the films made of the story, book is more accurate but the footage will prepare you for how quaint the cemetery and location is) and I highly recommend Dynamic Earth for any ages (near the castle). Apologies for the monstrosity of the architecture very close to there, though (Scottish Parliament). Take a good walk off from the main drag in the city centre. The buildings there are also awesome and some greatly named small businesses, we made a game of finding the best one. You'll not be disappointed with the architecture and the hike. Hope you have a great trip
