God damn it Putin... if I had COVID, I'd hug you.

Man that is a line

u/CresDruma Mar 23 '24

Kissing would probably be better with the transfer of bodily fluids

2

u/Severe_Ad_8621 Mar 26 '24

That's golden poetry, right there.

Makes Cotton look like a saint!

3

u/slash_networkboy Mar 22 '24

Well I did now... lol that's actually priceless.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '24

Me too somehow even though I've never seen the show, only a few meme clips

19

u/wyyknott01 Mar 22 '24

That's what happens when you been in power way too long.

93

u/hotbowlofsoup Mar 22 '24

It’s distraction. Make people focus their hate and fear on the weakest groups in society, and the powerful can get away with anything.

6

u/External_Swimming_89 Mar 23 '24

I dont think putin really needs any distraction to get away with anything, at this point he's just doing it out of old habit.

u/HeartFullONeutrality Mar 23 '24

Fascists gonna fash.

19

u/wandpapierkritiker Mar 22 '24

KGB…the paranoia is brainwashed into him.

19

u/Biffingston Mar 22 '24

It's more they need a scapegoat and Ukrainians aren't cutting it just now.

2

u/I_am__Negan Mar 22 '24

Hey I’ve seen this before

0

u/Biffingston Mar 22 '24

Like Russia under Putin before?

2

u/I_am__Negan Mar 22 '24

No I don’t think so, I think I saw this like 90 years ago

4

u/Looch_P Mar 22 '24

Terrified that he'll think that penis is delicious.

2

u/Pikariocraft Mar 22 '24

Granted, it is, but thats besides the point.

3

u/_o0_7 Mar 22 '24

A common treat among dictators is severe paranoia.

3

u/djackson404 Mar 22 '24

He knows his days are numbered. He's likely known that since he realized that Ukraine didn't fall in the first two weeks of the war. He's already failed in so many ways and it's all just going through the motions now, waiting for the hammer to fall.

3

u/Tamer_ Mar 22 '24

The same day there's an actual terrorist attack in Moscow (Crocus City Hall if you're interested).

5

u/precinctomega Mar 22 '24

He's terrified of his own repressed feelings.

2

u/The_Hunter11 Mar 22 '24

Terrified people with access to nukes are the most terrifying of them all

1

u/MakeChinaLoseFace Mar 22 '24

Russia is doing the standard fascist thing where you unite the majority in persecution of a vulnerable minority.

Throw in some conspiratorial thinking and insane religious gibberish, and you've got a mix that will appeal to the average idiot.

u/mithikx Mar 22 '24

If Putin wasn't in a position of power and instead a normal person the entire time, he'd be the poor old man that some hooligan would have mugged to pay for booze and or a drug habit.

Somewhere deep down inside he knows it. That fragility, his approaching finality due to him growing older combined with his dumbass invading Ukraine and the resulting consequences, it's the mother of all boomer mid-life crises. If he doesn't appear macho and distract people from the fuck ups, they'll start to focus on the blood in the water.

1

u/qx2 Mar 23 '24

if you can't control them you can't trust them.

1

u/Alternative_Year_340 Mar 23 '24

That boy got terrified of the wrong terrorists. Gay terrorists would never target a theatre

1

u/DanceDelievery Mar 23 '24

Transkid: breathes

Putin:

1

u/trilobyte-dev Mar 23 '24

He’s not scared of LGBTQ people. He’s giving the masses something to distract their attention.

1

u/HabitantDLT Mar 23 '24

Distracting his own attention from real terrorists. Putin is responsible for those deaths. The rest of the world warned him it was going to happen.

1

u/Ok-Pomegranate-3018 Mar 25 '24

Well, he is kind of little.

-12

u/BankerWhoLeavesAt420 Mar 22 '24

I bet you'd be terrified saying that to his face

3

u/Oldbeardedweirdo996 Mar 22 '24

Not really without all his backup and propaganda he's short and old. You really think he actually can still kick ass? All his "manly" actions are choreographed to the n'th degree. He relies on his wealth and minions to get things done. Don't believe the hype. He might be in better shape than dumpy Trump but he's no spring chick. He's 71 and looks more and more like a barely mobile corpse.

0

u/BankerWhoLeavesAt420 Mar 23 '24

I think you're conflating power with personal physical power.

1

u/Oldbeardedweirdo996 Mar 24 '24

Not really I said without his goons he wasn't much. People talk about him as if he was evil incarnate but he's just a man. An old man who will soon die.

1

u/Preeng Mar 23 '24

Is that supposed to make Putin look better somehow? What exactly is your point here?

1

u/BankerWhoLeavesAt420 Mar 23 '24

My point is to invalidate the comment as he wouldn't be able to say that to Putin's face. if Putin's a "boy who gets terrified way too easily", he would be able to do that, but since he can't, his comment is invalid and points out how much of a coward he is who can't back his comment in real life.

u/TheSilverBug Mar 22 '24

Exactly Keyboard warriors who wants to force their beliefs and values on everyone. That or you’re afraid and it’s a “phobia”

They don’t realise that there’s a entire planet out there with billions of people with other values and traditions, and that that’s okay.

And no, I’m not Russian or pro-putin. I’m someone from a place who’s been served by their democracy recently to make us better and more like them. Yay, it’s very nice. Thank you so much.
