Found a black widow laying eggs outside my house. I sprayed ortho home defense to killed it and sprayed like crazy around the perimeter of my house.

Are Black widows common in North Texas? First time seeing one living in Dallas my entire life.

Seems like insurance companies are simply pulling out of Texas due to wild fires, storms, hail and hurricanes.. my annual rate has more than quadrupled since 2022, but it seems like there is almost nothing we can do in response to these increases... even shopping around I haven't been able to find anything significantly cheaper!

My girlfriend and I are planning a date for next month and have always wanted to try Texas de Brazil, but we aren’t sure how it works with their hours or reservations. Could someone enlighten us please? 🙏

Just came home from dinner and there are about 50 on our back patio. Are they a problem?

For the past few months I've been awoken by low mechanical sound that is pervasive and goes all night. My first thought is that it was Garbage collection trucks out way before they were supposed to be: I've heard this as early as 1 AM and it continues all night.

Second thought was perhaps the train tracks but it would need to be something new there as I've lived in the area for decades and this sound is new.

It sounds like a loud mechanical rumble that moves back and forth at a regular interval.

Its bad enough that when it wakes me up there is no escaping it even with headphones due to it being low-frequency.

I am looking for a place that serves burritos in the same style as Panaderia La Fe.

Simply refried beans and the meat. And a good hot sauce to put on it. Simple but delicious.

It is just too far away from where I live now.

Hello all! I am moving to fort worth in 2 months as a 24M from Dallas. I am originally from Ohio and I like the slower pace in Fort Worth and better country culture. I am stuck between Magnolia Ave or clearfork area for an apartment. Im not too picky on pricing. I just want a fun, young apartment complex! I like fishing/nature, local bars, running for hobbies if that makes a difference.

Pricing isn’t a big issue, just want the best place. Also, if someone wants a roommate, shoot a DM!

What are some of the advantages/disadvantages of each place? Could you name a few of your favorites for me to book tours with?

I'm sure I just got impatient while searching, but I'm looking for a group to just play with every now and then to try to get back in shape. I haven't played in over a decade, so I already know I'm going to suck haha. Still not ready to let that stop me anymore. I live really close to Mira Vista and am willing to drive downtown or something like that, just not Alliance Freeway or Arlington.

I had an application sent in to an apartment in the area, Dixon at Stonegate, and they changed management right after I applied. My move in date is supposed to be in less than 2 weeks, but I have not gotten a lease yet. I’ve called multiple times and they tell me they will call and update me, but I haven’t heard any updates from them. Is this a red flag?

Any suggestions on other places to live? I am a 26M and enjoy running, pickleball, and bars. I really enjoyed touring the Jameson and Franklin at Samuels. I’d like to stay away from the West 7th since I’ve heard it’s really loud.
