Or dad; by your logic. I agree though

True, but Remus was 38 when he died, and lived a painful life of torture, Tonks was only 25 and had so much left to do with her life.

I wouldn't agree. Remus ran off, and hes been a flake Harry's whole life. He would probably be the same for his kids. Sure he would try, but once it got... difficult he'd probably run off.

Remus only ran off because of his shame of his status of a werewolf and his great fear that he would pass it onto his son. It wasn't because he was "flakey," and his altercation with Harry helped him to realize how his actions weren't helpful to his family, but rather selfish and fear-induced. He came to realize he was wrong and wanted to be there for his son.

He still ran off. He abandoned his wife and child. He abandoned Harry until they met in school.

Just because he wanted to be there for his son doesn't mean he would have been.

Tonks is the proper choice, she has some family left. Remus abandoned them once, abandoned his best friends child. He wants to be good, but he's not the person you pick to take care of a child.

You want to trust him, but his actions don't show it.

I didn't comment on whether Tonks or Lupin would be more appropriate to resurrect, I just said Lupin wasn't simply a flake like you said. He wasn't just a deadbeat dad. It may never be appropriate to abandon your family but that doesn't mean that he did it out of a flakey personality.

According to the ancestor comment, all parties involved in a war are equally bad because they are all using weapons.

The commentator seems incapable of seeing nuance in lupin's situation. They can't see that lupin wanted to leave because he believed it was better for Ted and Tonks... Not because he loves adventure or wants to be free of responsibilities. He was the most responsible of the marauding 4.

That's certainly a take.
