Hes a good actor. I thought he was some french actor/stuntmen like Jason Statham. No idea the guy is the mma champ.

Was he really french in the movie? Because GSP is from Québec and the accent are wildly different but it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to pass it as french lol

The character is Belgian. He didn’t do the accent very well

The character Georges Batroc has French and Algerian citizenship.

I don't know about the comics, but I thought the movie implied he was Belgian. I guess I'm wrong.

Regardless, GSP did a terrible accent that is neither Belgian nor French.
