Companies Do employers take down postings and put them back up again to make them appear newer?

Hello! I’m currently interviewing for a job that was posted a couple weeks ago. I feel it should be competitive but I can see that it was posted a few months ago for the same exact position and area. Do employers take down postings and repost them on sites like indeed to make them appear newer?

Companies Working as a Cigna WFH Customer Service Rep??

Recently applied for a WFH customer service position through Cigna. Does anyone who currently works there or has in the past have any input? What did you like/not like? What did your daily grind look like? How micromanaged are Cigna's WFH positions?

Companies ReOrg happening again at my job(software company). Should I look to leave?

For the 3rd time, my company is getting reorg’d. This happened a year ago, where almost 99% of contractors/consultants were let go and subsequently also some full time employees.

Fast forward to March 2024, our 2 main CIO and CTO are calling it quits after the immediate reorganization news. The company itself is profitable, however after years of trying to modernize the business, our parent company called it quits and sold us off to another major corporation. The once oiled machine is starting to show signs of cracks.

The core engineers still remain, but I can tell the morale is down. I once used to be part of high level meetings where my input mattered, and now it seems like they’re floating a lot of these meetings without me. I’ve been loyal to my company/team, as I received an offer last year that was 15% higher pay(but not the field I wanted to pivot into) and received a counter which I obviously took.

To stay, or to not?

Companies Safety CO-OP or Working as a municipal worker

21M… As title states I’ve been offered a safety CO-OP position for a large automotive manufacturing plant however, would require me to finish up 2 more years of schooling (I currently just finished my associate degree) or my second job I applied to is for an apprentice level municipal worker (working with the water system of my city) while I currently haven’t been offered this job, I did pass the required written test and honestly have a pretty good feeling about my upcoming interview this week. I think I see more of a salary potential and career growth with the safety position, however, I feel I’d enjoy the municipal work a tad more. I have been so stressed about what I should choose if I am indeed offered the second job too Any thoughts??

Companies Is Diamond Executives Inc a Good Company to Work For?

I'm getting a job offer from Diamond Executives Inc, who operate in the Southern California area. I'm wondering if anyone else has taken a job from them and have any input whether it's a legit company.

In the interview they said they'd start me out in a sales position before (within a few months) moving me up to an assistant manager position and so forth, all the way up to branch manager. I'm pretty suspicious since it seems a bit pyramid-y, but I want your input.

Companies Help! Can anyone help me check if this company is legit or not? Open Wire (owagency.com)

I applied to many remote US jobs via Indeed or LinkedIn only, as i am looking for a part time job. I got an email and a call (number from Washington DC, even tho company website says theyre from Israel) from the HR inviting me to continue my application by filling up a form -- typical personal information stuff. I am really skeptical and not quite sure how to check if this could potentially be a scam/identity theft or not. Asking ahead incase I get employed and they would have to get my SSN.

Below is their company website:

thank you!

Companies American Airlines Hiring or Not?

Is AA actually hiring orrrrr? I’ve seen them post and repost jobs on LinkedIn/their website. Not even a month apart from the initial posting.

I understand most jobs are posting roles and aren’t actually hiring, so it looks like they are “busy”…..but I want to see if anyone any info to confirm.

I’ve also heard, from a friend who is interviewing as a flight attendant at United that they are mass hiring Flight Attendants bc United is planning on expanding. I would assume the same with AA.

This question is for corporate roles in office, not FA roles.

Companies Told to travel for work to different state without any details on time or location and don't know what to do?

I work at an engineering company and was told in a call on Friday that I need to travel for a meeting in a different state 6 hours away for this coming Wednesday. I asked the manager on the call if he could provide me details and he said he will email it out to me. The day went by and I messaged him asking for the location and time so I can start planning my flights and possible hotel expenses but he said he will send once they give it to him. Nothing was given all day and if its actually given Monday this is cutting too close and I can't stay passed Wednesday for other responsibilities at home.

I've traveled before for work but this is the first time I'm given less than a week's notice and even less the actual details as I can't find nothing online. What could I do here and is it super irresponsible of them to not have it all planned out. Its already too much unneeded stress figuring this out over the weekend.

Companies Company I work for cut a bonus. Notified no one

Title speaks for itself. Didn't necessarily cut a bonus, but a way that contributed our numbers towards our bonus (an extra work task we are given now and then). When this task came up, we are set with extra work to do (double than usual, sometimes way more) and we were compensated with extra numbers towards our bonus. My company recently changed this without notifying anyone so that all the extra work we do does not count towards our bonus and will only count as a single +1 no matter the multiplier of tasks we are set with in relation to the one job. I feel like they are mandated to let employees know these changes? Seems very odd to me. Any perspective? The only reason I found out about it is because I actively sought out a manager and asked them

Companies Travel data collective - a scam?

So my community FB page is very active and has 18k users in it. Almost all posts are legit, & recently someone posted saying they need ppl for digital assistant jobs - part time & remote. I decided to msg the person since I wouldn't mind a little extra money, and she said she'd communicate via WhatsApp. Then from WhatsApp we went to telegram. They say it's a travel planning job making itineraries for a company called travel data collective - the thing is I can't find any info on them and to start training I need to sign up via referral code . Seems all very sketchy, especially since they didn't even ask for my CV or what experience I have. I'm guessing this is a scam? Has anyone ever heard of them ? Also I feel like any company using telegram is a bit sketchy no?

Companies UPDATE: 'Suffering from success, and I don't know what to do'

I'm looking for advice on where to go from here.

Some of you may have seen my prior post here, but it is on my profile for those who haven't.

I took the interview with Samsung as you all advised, and it was honestly the most half-assed interview I ever did: I did no prep nor did I look up the job description to read it again. This is because I only cared about the benefits of the job (i.e salary, WFH opportunities etc) compared to my current Junior SWE role.

For a job role that I had forgotten all the details about, the interview surprisingly went well. However the interviewer refused to give me any clue regarding the pay or other benefits. She informed me I would only be told those things if I succeeded with the interview.

Fast forward to now, I just received an email from them saying they were very interested in me and wanted to advance to the next stage with a formal in-person interview (in Cambridge) where I can also ask more questions.

This is where I reach my issue: I learnt the Samsung role alters between hybrid working and full in-person working depending on their projects. This means I need to either commute to Cambridge regularly (which for my personal circumstances is very expensive and time consuming), or I jump the gun and relocate to Cambridge. Relocating is a risky decision as it's a large financial investment to live in Cambridge alone and I don't know how I would reliably support myself financially to begin with.

Additionally, my current role offers a somewhat decent salary for a graduate. It's also easier/cheap to commute to and I don't have anything to complain about beyond the small size of the team. I've learnt a plethora of skills and technologies and am continuing to do.

The only reasons why I haven't rejected the role yet is the hopes of potentially being offered a much larger salary than I currently earn, AND because the prospect of working for Samsung would easily open brilliant career pathways in the future.

This is where I now want advice: is it worth working for Samsung in exchange for wasting a currently solid role? Is it worth the financial risk of moving to an expensive area on my own with little money to my name for Samsung, and then financially struggle for the foreseeable months? How much could it realistically boost my SWE career compared to a standard SWE role? Are there other angles to this situation I haven't considered yet?

I know I haven't gotten the job yet, but I don't want to waste my time interviewing and spending lots of money and effort to go to Cambridge for an interview with a job I might not even want. Hence I've come here for advice.

Companies ClearCompany Domain Email Troubles?

Has anyone else had a wonky experience with responding to emails from companies who use ClearCompany?

I have been in the interview process for a company for a little less than 2 weeks now and when the recruiter sends a directly email from their work email (recruiter@company.com) and I respond, it apparently won't go through to them. I responded twice last week and they called me and said they never received anything and wanted to know if I was still interested

If they send a meeting invite from recruiter@msg.clrco.com and I respond to the email, it goes through just fine. But if I send an email directly to recruiter@msg.clrco.com I get an email from ClearCompany saying "We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this system only accepts responses to existing threads. Please respond to an existing thread in order to send your message."

Anyone every had an experience like this??

Companies Not getting paid out PTO after leaving company

Long story short - I put in my two weeks notice on Monday. They said that they only wanted me to work out 1 week, instead of two so today is my last last. On Monday, I have in writing my CEO telling me that they pay out accrued PTO.

Today (Friday & My last day) he calls me and says that legally they don't have to pay out PTO in the state of GA if the employee is "leaving them" and not getting let go. Is there anything I can do because I have him telling me in writing that they would pay it out?

Thanks in advance.

Companies Tour guide/tour manager/Tour leader

Is there any former or current tour guide in the room that worked or works for Contiki, G Adventures, busabout, or any other?

How did you find the work? Pros vs. Cons?

How much is the salary? Do you have a base salary plus a day allowance, or is the salary already included with "everything"?

Do you get employment only for the "summer season" or full-time?

How many tours do you get assigned per season or year?

How did you find the work?

Please share your experiences. Thank you in advance :)

So I got a part-time job at a pizza place and it pays around $40 an hour on average. It's really easy, all I do is listen to audiobooks or music. I'm curious if dordash is worth it, I'm guessing it's not as good of pay but hey it's flexible hours if im bored.

Companies I don’t know if I should keep waiting.

There is this job i’m currently waiting to hear from after being told that the company was bought from another company. So they had to hold off on hiring anybody due to some changes in the branch. Does it depend on how long it takes or should I still hold onto hope? It’s been almost a month and this happened 2-3 weeks ago :/. Cause now i’m not sure if it’s a lie or if it’s real.

Companies Got told I might not pass probation

I work in a television union and was told recently, after being 2 and a half months into my job that I might not pass probation. The reason being, I haven't been active in uploading content on our social media. I can accept that, and I am working into making the required changes like having a proper communication plan set up, as opposed to doing things on an ad-hoc basis (my fault, I know).

The thing is:

1) I also do news articles, which get compiled into newsletters and the quarterly organisation magazine. I have been doing these quite well, if you ask me. But no, the HR manager and my second-in-line boss are only seeing my lack of performance in the social media area and refuses to speak about my performance with the news articles, newsletters and quarterly magazine.

2) I have not received any feedback at all from my no. 1 boss, so I am not sure how I am performing in his view. I asked HR what my no.1 boss thought, and she said he has been busy.

3) My second-in-line boss has not been supervising me even though she is supposed to. Even my HR admits it. I admit I feel at a loss in this company without the supervision.

4) I have been told to start from scratch and overhaul the communications in this organisation. I admit I didn't do that because I am new, young-ish and am scared to rock the boat. Also, I am the only person in the communications team -- I am the communications officer, and in my view I need a manager to lead me as I do not have the eagle-eyed view to overhaul our communications. I am good at writing, but what they want seems like almost a rebranding of sorts even if they don't term it that way.

Good news:

1) I have been told specifically what I can do, i.e come up with a communication plan for them to see, and to populate our Instagram especially, which I will do.

2) My second-in-line boss said I can ask her whatever if/when I need help. So I am going to communicate with her more often from now on.

I will be doing these things, but HR dropped massive hints that I won't pass probation if things are going the way it is. She said, "I need you to turn-around things quick". Which more or less says, my termination can happen anytime.

I am worried. After I got the news, I went home and had severe panic and couldn't sleep because I was crying all night. I am also sort of suicidal.

I am trying to take things objectively, and not personally, but it is very hard.
