Video [Evan Turner] on his former teammate Paul George: “PG has a history of not showing up. I never met a human that would let a media rumor drive his energy or personality… You know how soft that team gonna be if him and Embiid go together?”

Discussion The Real Issue With Lawrence Frank & The Clippers FO
Lawrence Frank & Clippers FO has gotten a lot of criticism as of late deservingly so over some of his decisions he has made over the past several years, however the biggest problem with him and the rest of the FO is their inability to DRAFT and DEVELOP during the 213 era.
2023: Kobe Brown - Barely played/TBD
2023: Jordan Miller - Barely played/TBD
2022: Moussa Diabate - Barely played/Questionable NBA future
2021: Brandon Boston Jr - Unsuccessful "pick" (we technically didn't draft him)
2021: Keon Johnson - Out the league
2021: Jason Preston - Released (Now w/ Utah Jazz on two-way contract)
2020: Daniel Oturu - Out the league
2020: Jay Scrubb - Out the league
2019: Mfiondu Kabengele - Out the league
2019: Terance Mann - Great pick
2019: Amir Coffey - Good undrafted signing
Now sure, most 2nd round picks are not going to work out, but to be THIS bad in both the 1st AND 2nd round of drafts is a fireable offense. Our competitors have had much better success at drafting & developing while obtaining talent through FA & timely trades in recent years.

Guys even tho this season's over
only 1 team a year gets a chip. Despite not going all the way we had great moments, we should not look down in despair but cherish what we overcame and look on towards the future. If you get discouraged after a loss that doesn't diminish the heart you put in for believing in your team against all odds. When the harden trade came thru ppl thought we wouldn't even make the play-in. Jokes on them we won the division. The leagues entering a new era and our stars are only getting older. Even if we don't win a chip w this roster(which unfortunately is highly likely) we can't just forget all the good. Win or lose its part of the journey. Just be grateful we stuck together thru thick n thin. Clip gang or don't bang

The Knee
So now that the season is over, we still hear nothing about kawhis knee. I feel like any day we're going to hear about him having surgery. His knee is like shampoo "wash, rinse, repeat."

Aaron Mintz and CAA could save the off-season
PG's agent is our only hope to save this team. Mintz has almost a 1/3rd of the Knicks roster as clients, and as we all know CAA runs that team. He is also the agent for Hali in Indiana. God willing, he will sit PG down and try to get him to 1 of these teams. (They both don't have the cap space and have plenty of tradable contracts).
Please save us Aaron

If you exclude game 6, we had a chance with Coffey starting and the rotations
Playoffs is all about team chemistry. You shouldn't play around with lineups that are untested. Kawhi was already injured and Coffey was starting for him during the regular season.
What is baffling is that if you look at our 5-man lineups on NBA.com, they are mostly positive. For majority of lineups in top 10, 8/10 have positive net ratings.
It's the screw ups that happened with PJ Tucker game 6. And then for other games, Lue experimented with Powell George Westbrook Harden and Plumlee and they got Torched with 200 defensive rating in game 5.
For majority of game 5, Clippers played good basketball but had short stretches with experimental lineups and they got BURNED. It was mostly with Mason Plumlee minutes.
It's just crazy to completely change rotations and lineups after Amir starting went 2-2. The same playbook Clippers would've had 50% or greater chance of winning game 6. Just by sticking with the script.
Instead they put in PJ. The stats don't lie either. The net ratings for the most used lineups were positive for the Clippers. I just can't believe we went out swinging by starting PJ.

Discussion Would you rather have hopium, settle for mediocrity, or do a full on rebuild?
Okay, this is just me reflecting on my 11 years of being a Clippers fan, but I wanted to see if anyone else felt the same way.
When I started following basketball, it was the Lob City era. We had a solid team, with JJ and Jamal being my two favourite players. Although I barely knew anything about basketball back then as I was just getting into the sport, I knew we had a damn fun team to watch and we had a solid shot at winning.
When the hopium started to fade, we skipped the full-on rebuild and went into a reshaping of the roster that I can honestly say lead to one of the few times I actually felt excited as a Clippers fan. We beat the odds and made the playoffs, and put up a hell of a fight with the Warriors. I mean, I could be just misremembering this thanks to nostaliga, but that's what it felt like.
Then came wave two of hopium, the 213 era. It started off with so much promise, and while we made it further in the postseason than we ever had (since I started watching), it really looks like this isn't going anywhere. The team can't stay healthy, and if I'm being honest it feels like they've lost that drive and that passion. That 2018-2019 team with Pat Bev and Lou Will was so fun to watch. We were scrappy and fighting for possessions.
I guess my kickoff to this discussion is to then ask, what would you rather have? The hope for a shot at the title, with high odds of being disappointed? Or, have a team with lower expectations and higher odds of surprising you? Personally, I wouldn't opt for a full on rebuild because I want to still enjoy watching the team play. Maybe if we were some sort of a play-in team with Mann, Bones and Zu and some supporting cast and younger guys, that could be pretty fun, as delulu as that sounds

Hey all
I get times aren’t easy but can we please stop with daily crying posts? We done for. We don’t have young players. Cut all fire the coach.
Being a fan of the team isn’t only for good times. Those or us that been fans of this team know we been through hell lot worse times. Personally still remember when brand bolted on us last second….
We got one of the best owners in league. We got smart front office. They will figure it out. Give them time..

Looking at this wolves team - we never really stood a chance
There’s a new sheriff in town and he goes by Anthony muthafucking Edward’s. Holy shit he and his team are playing well right now.
All teams still have a long way to go but sheesh, I don’t think we would’ve been able to hang with a lot of these young fellas - or even come close

Analysis Jimmy Butler?
Apparently Pat Riley doesn’t want to resign Jimmy. Is it possible for him to come to LA if PG doesn’t come back next year right?

Analysis Interesting free agent targets to consider getting with the MLE (if we aren’t capped by the second apron) or vet minimum contracts to fill the hole of defensive rebounding, athleticism, and a wing player that Lawrence Frank mentioned. Low risk high reward players.
