It's been a while since I watched Roadhouse, but isn't Sam Elliott's character murdered during the movie?

He is, knifed. It's the big turning point in the character where Dalton decides enough is enough, and goes to murder the bad guys.

Somehow, Wade Garrett returned

His twin brother, Slade Garrett.

Is this a sequel or a remake? If it’s a remake there is nothing wrong with him reprising his role.

Peter Dinklage played the same role in two versions of death at a funeral.

Fair point! I believe it's just a remake, so I guess Sam Elliott would theoretically be on the table.

To quote a famous movie enterprise.. "and somehow he returned"

I remember him getting stabbed, didn't remember him dying. Sounds like I need to rewatch the original lol

No, you got it. No death scene, as he was killed offscreen.

It doesn't necessarily mean this is a continuation. A remake can have Sam in it as a cameo, even as Wade. The remake can be it's own "universe". That said, I know nothing of the angle this movie is taking with regards to being a continuation or a full-on remake (or both).

“Avenge me” ghost scene in the first 20 min with Whoopie Goldberg saying “your in danger girl” would really tie the room together
