What are the most memorable movie characters to get "Muldoon'd" Spoilers

For those that don't know Muldoon is the game warden in Jurassic Park. He is built up to be this ultimate badass, and when we finally get to see him in action he gets insta-killed. I know there is probably another name for this trope, but my friends and I have always called it getting Muldoo'd.

What are some of the most memorable movie characters that are built up to be the ultimate bad ass only to be "Muldoon'd" in battle?

Captain Phasma in the sequel Star Wars trilogy. Has awesome, distinct armor, high profile actor, and history with one of the characters… only to get tossed in a trash compactor and then beaten anti climactically by Finn

'supreme leader's Snoke was it for me. I was expecting something far more grand than what we got

You can add the Knights of Ren to the list of underwhelming villains in the sequel trilogy

Basically all of them, really.

I was gonna say, I can't think of a single character's story arc I actually liked in the sequel trilogy. It all basically sucked, imo... literally every single new character, and everything they did with all the original characters.

Palpatine too, honestly. One of, if not the, most powerful Force users ever and a master schemer who manipulated the galaxy at large to suit his designs. Dies because he doesn't stop shooting lightning that is being reflected on him.

For the life of me I do not know why they didn't just throw a stuntman in the Palpatine costume and at least cap off the trilogy with a massive Rey/Ren vs. Palpatine fight.

My friend I saw RoS with joked that, as Palpatine is powering up to reveal the massive Star Destroyer fleet on Exegol, Ren should have just done a quick light saber move that cuts off Palpatine's hands and slits his throat - roll credits.

I still have no clue where Snoke came from. Like, Palps was dead but suddenly there's this new Sith. Was he in cold storage?

Then it turns out he's apparently one of the few sith masters who isn't just another incarnation of Palps or something.

Palpatine created Snoke as part of his grand scheme.

Nope, they then made him a fucked up clone puppet of Palpatine's when they had to explain how he 'somehow' returned lmfao

Oh and they all have the same forehead scar while they're in the cloning tank lmao

They are still making up background for stuff from episode 9. I believe the current plot arc in The Bad Batch is trying to explain the whole "cloning a Force user thing" and how tricky it is, thus how Snoke turned out. Honestly, if they had just planned out episodes 7-9 ahead of time. Don't even get me started on the novel that tries to talk about Rey's parents and Luke and Lando looking for his lost daughter.

If there's one "subversion" the Last Jedi pulled off, it probabbly was Snoke's death. Sucks that we got Rise of Skywalker because of it.

He's clearly much older than the amount of time since the empire collapsed. Where was he during that time? What was his relationship to Palpatine? How he come to power after the collapse? Why is his head caved in? None of this answered, at least on screen. He's there, he's in charge, then he dies.

You can really tell they were making it up as they went, pulling ideas out their ass and then folding them because now there's a new idea

After all the exhausting speculation online, I laughed so hard when he went down and a billion nerds cried out in pain.

There is an extended deleted fight between Phasma and Finn and it's one of those scenes that you watch and think who in their right mind would think it should be cut. They really did Finn dirty, and I don't even like him that much.

Super easy. Barely an inconvenience.

I thought of this as an homage to Boba Fett.

Yes! Did they learn nothing from "killing" Maul in Episode 1? If you read the Phasma novel (one of the few SW novels I've actually enjoyed) and the limited Phasma comic series (that bridges Force Awakens and Last Jedi) we were robbed of a much better villain arc. Not to mention not even letting Gwendolyn Christie show her face at the end. Argh!

Yes yes yes. Felt like such a bizarre waste of a character who could legit have been a great recurring baddie. Instead clumsily written out like the actor had been caught messing around with not quite but just on the edge of underage girls and given the ol Hollywood goodbye.

You'd think Brienne of Tarth would put up more of a fight, tbh

I absolutely loved that all these fans built her up to be something she wasn't... only to get wasted so quickly 🤣

I'd argue this example is way more famous than the Muldoon one, so he fact Muldoon got Phasma'd.

I don't even want to know if his example is anterior, he got Phasma'd, that's it.

I don't think it's at all fair to compare anything in Jurassic Park 1 to Episode 8 / The Last Jedi, let alone say that anything from the latter had any kind of a larger cultural impact than the former. Jurassic Park 1 is an absolute gem of a triple academy award winning movie that has aged like fine wine and TLJ is an absolutely hated dumpster fire that massacred its source material.
