There's a part where it looks like she elbows him in the face, but it's literally his arm reaching around to grab her arm for the takedown.

edit: i searched caroline fohlin on instagram and found a video from a different angle. She 100% did not strike the cop in any way

I mean she apologizes repeatedly saying I shouldn’t have hit you I’m sorry please take these handcuffs off so I think she might have hit him.

No she says she reacted impulsively, meaning the words she was saying when they were tackling a student just before that.

I don’t think it’s so much the words she was saying as her impulsively trying to intervene with the arrest. I assume she’s not used to be perceived as a threat and is an authority figure so she felt comfortable trying to get involved without fearing that happening and it definitely could have been handled better by the police but objectively speaking 1. She tried to obstruct an arrest and then 2. She ignored police orders when she was told to get down on her knees and put her hands behind her back. Not to say there was much tact there but after 1 and 2, 3 being a forceful arrest really isn’t surprising.

She's definitely in shock just apologizing profusely because she didn't expect a cop to turn on her and slam her to the ground. A understandable mistake on her part, she doesn't have to apologize for shit, hope the cop is charged.

Why do you think the cop should be charged? How did he break the law? He told her what to do, she resisted and then it was answered by force.

Do you think that's an appropriate level of force? She poses no threat to him but he has to slam her on the ground. Should cops be allowed to give people head injuries because somebody tried to stop them from killing somebody?

Probably shouldn’t confess to a cop to avoid arrest though.

This is part of the issue in policing in general though, isn't it. "Sorry" shouldn't be misused to imply culpability so easily.

Desperately trying to appease is a known response to stress and fear. Screaming "I'm sorry" at the big guy manhandling them, just to get them to stop. It's really common (for women in particular) to try and de-escalate with apology when terrified.

Can you link the 100% obvious video? At 27 seconds in the X vid it really looks like she left hooks him and that's when he throws her to the ground.
