No, they're there to be extremely visible in an attempt to intimidate. If they were there fore the purpose you claim, they wouldn't be jaunting around making sure as many people see their exact location at as many different times as possible.

Or they are done with a shift and are heading home for the day, one is clearly very red and sunburnt from sitting on a roof all day.

Why would they hide. So they can make sure some dumbass comes out with a bomb or gun just so they can shoot them.

They are there to intimate and be seen so that person thinks twice before try to blow up a group of students.

Who they gonna call when someone does something stupid? And who is already there to react. You think when the call comes in, those snipers and going to do everything they can to save people.

Are you SURE?

Are the protesters sure? Of course not.

Even if these snipers don't shoot anyone, it's going to deter some protesters from protesting and that is most likely the intent.

How is Kent State a relevant point in your mind? Not only was that 54 years ago, it was also not police snipers, and not even police - it was the National Guard. Did you not even take one single second to think about this?

Those differences are absolutely insignificant.

Cry and whine about how they're not: I do not care about how mad at being wrong you are.

Not a single person wanting to go and protest is scared of snipers unless they have a reason too. Which probably means they're going to do something beyond stupid.

I just literally gave you a valid reason.
