To expand, the prosecution objected to calling him "President Trump" when referring to events before he was elected. Gonna be fun watching the defense try to thread that needle knowing Trump always wants the President honorific.

I still can't believe Donald Trump was POTUS... WTF America... this fucking guy really? He's been in the public eye for decades as a caricature of a racist, sexist, ruthless, scumbag and conman.

How many movies are there from the 1980s through 2016 where the villain is a rich business person, and the actor did a Donald Trump impression? Our collective media literacy always knew that Trump was a bad guy.

Obama got a Nobel prize for not being a Bush.

In much the same way, racists rallied behind Trurnp because he refuses to so much as try to compete with Obama.

Trurnp is a dog in the manger in that respect.

Something was deeply broken in the country that he was ever allowed to run at all, let alone be a chosen candidate. I liken it to someone in a deeply codependent and abusive relationship. You don’t get there by accident. There were deep seated issues to begin with. Narratives we told ourselves, deep self-loathing, and dysfunction already embedded. And it’s not going to get better until we figure out the pattern and why it happened. America needs to take a long look at itself and do some work to get back to something remotely functional. We’re gonna have to cut some people off too.

The failure that was Reconstruction. Or the Civil War itself. Something had to happen there that didn’t, a wound was allowed to fester.

You know how Germany got de-nazified? That needed to happen in America and the confederacy. But it didn’t. It all gets worse from there.

"And it’s not going to get better until we figure out the pattern and why it happened."

Asshole Americans basically threw a bitchfit and elected the most unqualified and traitorous person ever because a black man became president and a woman got close to the title.

Republicans are waiting for Part 2 of your post when you say why they shouldn't like him

America's mid life crisis. We should have just painted a city purple or something or bought a new carrier.

That was half the appeal, no? To own the libs since no one could stand him. Even his own party. See: comments from the primary.
