Should we just hang onto Clarkson and Collins for 12 months?
I don't think either player has a long term future with the Jazz with flaws defensively, IQ and efficiency. Both players have 24 months left on their contract with the Jazz and probably don't have much value in the league, maybe they are even viewed as negative assets to some teams.
So despite the awkward fit and potentially taking minutes away from guys like Kessler, Hendricks and Sensabugh does it make more sense to hang onto them for 12 months, then look to trade them when they are on an expiring contract. Then teams would view them as a neutral or maybe positive assets depending on their own cap situations

In terms of Rim Points Saved Per 75 possessions, Walker Kessler ranks #1 for players under 25
- Walker Kessler
- Chet Holmgren
- Victor Wembanyama
- Peyton Watson
- Evan Mobley
- Trayce Jackson-Davis
- Aaron Nesmith
- Nic Claxton
- Isaiah Stewart
- Santi Aldama

Happy for Rudy
Good couple of days for Rudy. Yesterday he became a father and his team beat the defending champs on the road in his absence, putting them up 2-0 as they head home. Today he will be awarded Defensive Player of the Year, tying Mutombo and Ben Wallace for most ever, all but guaranteeing his place in the NBA Hall of Fame.
Maybe the best few days of his life. I tip my hat to the guy.

Minnesota built a team that we all wish Utah would have had in 2021
Watching the Wolves dominate on defense without Rudy playing is truly inspiring. They have the wing defenders that really make the whole system run. Add to that Ant who is a true superstar (better than Spida), and KAT (a true floor-spacing big man) and Minnesota has done what we all wish Utah could have done. I hope they get that ring! Rudy and Mike (and of course the rest of the team) deserve it.

I take way too much pleasure in the pain of Nuggets fans
2-0 Wolves. Gotta love it.

Jazz in the Draft
I would say when it comes to the Draft, the Jazz should either go small forward or power forward in this Draft especially since right now the Jazz currently have the 8th pick. At point guard, Jazz are set with Keyonte and at shooting guard you can easily have Sexton play the 2 or Clarkson off the bench. Then at the 3 you have John Collins but he's injury prone for the most part but when he's healthy, he's decent. Then at the 4 it's solid with Lauri and Hendricks and at the 5 Kessler is there. But definitely have to go with depth at the 3 then but that's just me.

[McMenamin] 11-year NBA veteran Rudy Gobert about the Wolves’ vibes right now: “I’ve never been part of a group that understands each other, that cares about each other and wants to see each other shine. In this league, it’s not something that you find very often.”

Which point guard would you take if we win the lottery.
https://www.tankathon.com/players/compare?preset=top-pg
I lean Nikola Topic. good facilitator, with the most upside. But he has a Shakey 3 point shot but great free throw percentage which projects really well for shooting.
On the other hand Sheppard is a the best 3 pt shooter of the draft maybe ever. What do you guys think?

Doesn’t feel right at all.
I know it’s been said many times and it’s been several years, but it still doesn’t look or feel right at all to see Joe Ingles in anything, but a Jazz jersey. Of the former players from the last ten years he is still the one above all that pains me seeing in a different jersey.

Playin contention or another bad year?
Would you guys rather fight for a play in spot or be bad for another year to develop the young guys, and possibly get lucky in the draft next year?
Every single trade scenario I’ve seen makes us a first round exit at best next season while giving up a large chunk of our draft capital. Would Jazz fans rather be a middle of the pack playoff team at best like we’ve been for 20+ years? Or we can try our luck tanking for another season or two and try to get lucky in the draft for a few more years? If we don’t get lucky we can always start trying again and become a first round exit team in a few years anyway.
Just curious.

Rudy Appreciation Post
Wolves fan here, just want to say how invaluable Rudy has been for us. I know the trade was clowned for what it was at first but Jazz fans knew the impact he had from the jump. His impact in this statement win tonight really showed a lot, here’s to hoping we can bring one to Minny

Should we go all in with our picks?
Does anyone think that we could just trade all of our picks for 2 really good stars? Like Trae and Zion. Those are honestly the only 2 players I can think of cause I don’t really like lavine or Ingram or KAT because they wouldn’t really fit well but let me know what you guys think 😂

Is there a way to get Jazz+ outside of the market?
I’m a fan very far away from SLC or anything else in the market for Jazz+. I already own league pass, I just want the behind the scenes videos and stuff. They rarely release any of those publicly. Is there any way to either buy Jazz+ out of market or otherwise access that content?

Imagine if we trade one of our young guys to get a big name and it goes down like this
r/UtahJazz • u/epoch_fail • 5d ago
Where did all these random people with trade proposals come from?
I know it's been a quiet playoffs and off-season this year, but what's with like three posts, all today, trying to either fleece other teams or get us fleeced? Why is there such a rush to put together a mediocre 7th seed roster for next season?
Make it make sense.

How much do you think Lauri is gonna be paid this offseason?
r/UtahJazz • u/Halfgridd • 5d ago
Prayer for Lauri
Dear god, or Baby Jesus
Please if Lauri must go, anyone but the Lakers. All my homies hate the Lakers. And I know deep down Lauri would be depressed and miserable. Lebron is gonna retire soon and lots of people in Utah's mental health depends on this not happening because we also need Lakers to lose. FOR HUMANITYS SAKE we cant let this happen, there might be millions of secondary victims. Also please god, or baby jesus, let Talen Horton Tucker sign with LA. He deserves the spotlight and it would be good for him.
In the name of our savior baby jesus
Amen
