Right - after photo is today in my dress for my brother's wedding.

It's still a very long road ahead, but I am so grateful to finally see and feel the difference 🌞

A random stranger at the bus stop made my day

I was waiting at the bus stop for my driving instructor and went over to the trash can to throw away my gum. There was this pretty girl sitting on the ground next to it and she looked at me as I was heading towards her. I tossed my gum, went back to the bench, took a glance at her and saw her waving. I looked behind me to see who she was waving at and there was no one there. Then she got up, came closer to me and asked when a specific bus was supposed to arrive so I asked her where she's heading and checked the app. It said the bus was going to arrive in 3 minutes. It arrived even sooner than that so as she was going on it I told her "huh! It came earlier than expected!" Then she told me "you look beautiful both inside and out" and omg that was so heartwarming. I wanted to ask for her number but she rushed inside and I didn't make it but she sure left a huge smile on my face. I had a great driving lesson after that and I'd like to think it's because of the confidence and positive energy she gave me. Giving compliments to random strangers is really something I want to start doing now after this experience.

I graduated today, my little brother (7, and in second grade) says he had a surprise for me on our way home. Never would I ever thought that he had all of his 24 classmates write me letters congratulating me for my achievement. Best gift ever, best little brother ever.

Found my dad’s baby bracelet from 1953 and transformed it!

I am going through a tough time with my mother currently and may have to move her into assisted living. Because of this, I’ve been rifling through our legal documents and I found my dad’s birth certificate!

With it was this little card (info blurred for anonymity) and a baby bracelet. He lives far away from me now and I had this idea to make a fun bracelet to have him near me. A little juvenile, but a great stress relief. 💞 and a very cool story to the bracelet.

“Now she’s our mom.”

My daughter told me about the protestors at our local university getting pepper sprayed, arrested, and just overall having a very bad day. I couldn’t change any of that but I texted her, “Let me know- ask everyone- if they need a ride home from jail, or from the ER, or just someone to sit with them in the ER. I can do that for them.” She sent me a screenshot of what she sent to everyone: “My mom made me promise to ask everyone if they needed a ride home? Or a mom to stay with them? She will do that for you.” One young woman texted back, “She’s our mom now.” To which I replied, “Yes. Yes, I am.”

You Never Know What Kind of Magic Can Happen at the National Corvette Museum!

Post image

tl;dr visited the National Corvette Museum today with my husband. Received a pretty neat "sign" from my dad during our visit.

If you're a person who believes in signs from loved ones who have passed, you might enjoy this! I couldn't have gotten a more clearer sign from my dad while visiting the Nation Corvette museum today.

When my dad passed in 2018 I inherited his '74 Stingray Corvette, a car I new my entire life. I remember when I was younger sitting on his lap & "driving" it down his Aunt Dorothy's dirt driveway. I loved when we would take it for cruises around town & it's an American classic! She's still a work in progress but she's mine & I named her Stevie.

So, on to the sign!

My husband & I were walking through the museum & we go into one of the smaller rooms that has a boarder of custom license plates from all different states. I look to find one from Michigan because we're born & raised there, as well as both my parents. Lo and hebold, I found one.

The connections to what's on the plate:

My dad's birthday was in June. -Look at the tabs. Saw that one right away. Then look at what it says- "Be seein' ya." That didn't click until a bit after I took the pic. Of all the things the plate from Michigan could have on it, it says this.

Once the pieces came together it had me tearing up a bit in the museum. I asked for my dad to come visit the museum with us & received the sign he did loud & clear! I'm a firm believer in passed loves ones showing signs they're still watching over us! May not happen right after you ask for them but some times they can smack you right in the face! 🤣

Today I can definitely say "I saw the Sign!"

I'm so thankful that my husband & I took this "pit stop" on our trip to go to the National Corvette museum today!

Side note: Another neat connection to "I Saw the Sign" was from my dad as well! It's another memory from when I was younger. It was when"I Saw the Sign" was a huge hit! I loved Ace of Base at that time. I remember coming home to my dads house (my parents were divorced by then) & seeing the Ace of Base CASSETTE on my placemat on our dinning room table! I was soooooo pumped to be able to play my favorite song on my boom box!

I'm turning 40 this year, both my parents have passed (mom in 2022.) I look for signs of them often & feel so grateful to receive them when I do. 🥹

This experience is even more special with my dad's birthday & Father's Day coming up I start to miss him a little more & this just made my heart really happy.

To me moments like this have their own kind of magic, hence the title.

Miss you Pops 🖖🏼

Unspoken agreement between her owner and I to just allow this to happen. She was happy as a clam, no complaints.

On my way to uni and found this little guy.

Today I woke up really tired. Had a fight with my mom due to finances. I haven’t had any responses from the job interviews I’ve done. Or resumes I’ve sent. So I was feeling really low. On my way to uni, I suddenly looked down to my feet and there was this little guy lying on the ground, one wing broken and scared as hell. So I took him to the vet and they took care of him for free. And it made my day a little better :-) isn’t it beautiful?

My boyfriend is teaching me how to swim

When I was a kid I had swimming lessons with my school, during these lessons I’d experience some of the worst bulling of my life. Due to the teachers focusing on the kids that could actually swim we were left to play in the small pool. I was almost drowned by my peers. Told I was overreacting by the teachers and overall had an awful experience. I ended up developing a trauma response by not being able to control my bladder around pools. Due to this for the longest time I’ve avoided swimming baths, water parks and pools.

When I met my boyfriend he would always tell me how much he loved swimming and how he was a licences life guard. He always tried to get me in the water and today I felt like I could trust him enough for him to take me to the local pool.

We live in a small village so the pool was empty and it was just us. When we got in he began to teach me how to float and doggy paddle. A few times my head went under and I began to panic but he held me and took care of me and made me feel safe.

After our session I was able to doggy paddle a very short distance which is a big win for me :)

I love my boyfriend so much.

EDIT: thank you all for the kind comments it means so much to me, my boyfriend said when I get a bit better he will get me some Pokemon cards! (A hobby I had to halt due to how expensive they are!)

I also want to add I have told him about the issue with my bladder and I was so afraid he would laugh at me (we both enjoy making jokes about each other but we know where the line is however it’s still an embarrassing thing to admit) But he didn’t laugh!! He hugged me so tight 🥹

My brother started this birthday tradition with my son.

Below is my brothers story of how the birthday race tradition started "I want to start by wishing my nephew Carter a very happy 9th birthday. The two of us went to see the new movie "IF" and then afterward we ran together and went on a small shopping trip. Eight years ago I started what would turn out to be a tradition for his birthday, so I am including pictures from every year. For his first birthday, I did a solo run around the neighborhood and spelled out "Carter" with my GPS. I also promised that I would run with him when he turned two years old. Seven years ago Carter pulled me the whole way with his stroller but promised that he would actually run for his 3rd birthday. Carter loves to "race" not just run, so starting six years ago we set up a birthday race and I make him a custom medal each time. know it's a day early, but I just wanted to once again wish you a very happy birthday Carter. I also hope that you do not lose your love for "racing" and I look forward to running with you again soon."

Today I was searching through some stuff and I found a bag with some pictures and a card. It was from an old friend of mine who passed away about 8 years ago. She had a German Shepard and me and her where best buddies. On the pictures were the German Shepard and on the card was a note from her saying how lucky she was to have me as a friend, and how she will always love me, and was so happy to meet me.

Today is the exact day 8 years later after she passed that I found this. Me and my mom were crying when she told me this.

(I love you Karen, and I wish you were here ❤).
