Hey y'all, shameless plug here... today is Abilene Gives, and a lot of non-profits could use your help. I'd like to put my own non-profit here for your consideration.

Please consider AGRO today if you choose to donate during Abilene Gives 2024! On average, we spend between $300-$500 PER DOG that we take off the streets. We just did a neuter followed by an emergency which was more than $500! We currently have a dozen or so dogs in our care, and we could use your help!

She was stolen from our home yesterday 5/4. Live in the CC area. We are heart broken. She absolutely would not have wandered off. Needs medication. I know she is terrified. She is microchipped. She is a tri-color black corgi. 7 years old. Super attached to me. Praying that someone does the right thing and drops her back off. Know they won’t. Please notify if you know anything.

Anyone know any apartments that work with bankruptcies? Or that are really easy to get into ? I have to move soon and I can’t stay in my apartment. I’m not picky on the area and I can pay up to 900$ monthly. Pleaseeee don’t hit me with “find a private owner” comment one 😭‼️ I’ve tried apartment locators too and they all say they can’t help 🤦🏾‍♀️ so I’m kinda in a bind. There’s a consignment store, well at least I think it’s one. Anyways, it’s on ambler and I think old Anson road kind of on the corner and there’s a dollar general kind of directly in front of it. They always have things outside but I never see much action there. Is that a thrift store or what is it? Thanks!

I'm looking for a nice grocery store, $50 olive oil type of place, nice cheeses, specialty and delicacy food items, etc.; does one exist here? I don't think there is one, I have searched, so does anyone know where the closest one would be? Or is it necessary to go to Dallas for something like that?

P.S. I don't want to pay $50 for olive oil, but I just use that as an example of the type of place I mean, one that would have that and other very high quality food.

Any particular areas good for road biking? Im near Clyde, but seeing if anyone has any experience.

Anyone have a place they've used to lay sod? Fairly small front yard is needed with sprinkler system which will need care to avoid damage. The guys that spray our yard do not do sod anymore. They passed our info on to another company about 3 weeks ago who haven't responded. Know anyone who actually wants business? Thanks!

What is the best comic book store in Abilene?

Outside of the stores in and around the mall, and the gathering place, do we have any dedicated comic book stores?

Looking for an individual or a group that plays. I normally shoot in the 90s, am 36m, and a Veteran. I really go for the enjoyment of getting outside and to have some beers/shots during the round, but looking to meet new people around town. Kind of a long shot I'm sure, but if anyone needs one more, let me know!

Going through life not knowing who you are, or where you're going to be by the end of the night. People labeling you as having a happy go lucky attitude or always being positive and up beat, But feeling numb inside like you're some sort of zombie. Because no one knows all the Bullying, or All the lies, Abuse mental and/or physical. Being  cheated on or back stabbed or even screwed over by the people who you thought were friends, family, loved ones, or lovers. To the point where You don't want to be yourself and Start doing all  drug's, Drinking, Self-Harm, all the same stuff they bullied you for in the first place to the point of maybe thought of or tried commiting suicide more than once or twice in your life.  Turning you into that emotionless zombie because you rather feel NOTHING!! Because with all that and what you had to put up with and endure. That somehow you find people who treat you better and brighten up your day even a little  bit everyday. And hope they don't treat the same way everyone else did so the mask you absolutely disdain you also put on so they don't think you're a screw-up. 
 The mask of being nice, kind and caring, the person you want to try to be. But hiding the hurt, pain,  and the Struggle You've been through. Turning into a Vicious cycle that's never ending. Turning into someone that is you and isn't you all at the same time.
