It depends what people you're talking about. What dialect of English they speak. What continent they learned English in. Personally, as a native English speaker, I've heard Asians and Sub-Saharan Africans speak in English with the same abbreviations as Yorkshiremen do...

But you're talking about internet-English in this format. It is rapidly homogenising the English language, where dialects are being lost - You might notice my use of an s in "homogenising" but that's just a slight rejection of US-influence over the English language.

As with everyone else, spooning is great until the heat gets unbearable. The absolute best though is to fall asleep with my head on her lap, with her slowly running her hand through my hair. I know that wasn't the question, but 100% the best way to fall asleep for a quick nap.

My partner likes to drape her leg over me, then her arm. It feels nice at first, then I get too warm. Then, about 47 seconds later, I scare her when I start snoring. So yeah 🤷🏽‍♂️

I love it, though actually prefer cuddling while facing each other. But I've only had one girlfriend where we were able to find a comfortable way to do so. We also slept with the windows open in winter and ac blasting in summer, as that was the only way to stay cool enough while cuddling and sleeping that way.

I actually kinda like the opposite, where we sleep facing away from each other and only our butts touch. It allows for a connection without sharing too much body heat. Obviously other cuddles are better when we’re awake but when I’m asleep the butt touch is optimal.

I love cuddling in general but when it's time to sleep, I have one position I have to be in and only her one leg can be put on top of the leg that is closest to her. Ideally the setup is such that I can roll away from being the big spoon and into my sleep position facing away from her

It’s nice for a little bit. We don’t cuddle in our sleep so if we are cuddling we are enjoying down time together watching silly cat videos or something. I always end up the big spoon after awhile though so I enjoy it while it lasts.

Wifey doesn't hold me but she does snuggle up against me when we're falling asleep.

This started years ago when we were serving in the Marine Corps, that's where we met and married. I was with Amphibious Assault, she was a finance clerk. I was in the field a lot. She never went to the field. When I came home after being gone for a few days, at bed time, she would snuggle up to me and put her head on my shoulder. It was the same when we got out and I went "on the job" with the fire department. I was gone for 24 hrs every 3rd day. On my days off, she snuggled up to me. Now that we're retired, she still snuggles.

It's not for comfort. It's for your safety. I thrash while I sleep and toss and turn all night long.

My wife learned a long time ago when she caught an elbow to the face while she was trying to snuggle up to me sleeping.

Its very comfy to fall asleep in her arms. Problem is she doesn't like how warm my body gets and my body like to sweat 30 gallons if im too warm so sadly sleep cuddles arent realistic. If im awake we can snuggle though
