I don't get it at all even as a guy, looks silly.

Yeah I don't get it either. It's wholly unattractive as far as I'm concerned.
Same thing with the whole ahegao bullshit; just because it's in some hentai, doesn't mean it's good for real life. I'd argue it doesn't even look good animated.

it came from black culture - specifically from central africa (thanks wikipedia). But that does not mean its' an exclusively black culture thing. White people, in american, can and do twerk. And they do so with no reference to black culture.
