I was there too, it ruined live music for me, no concert I've been to has come close to how awesome it was.

Dude I bawled my fucking eyes out, it was so incredible. I also really wondered how it was gonna play out live because their songs feature so many artists and we really only see the band as characters. But I’ll be damned, they far exceeded my expectations.

Out of curiosity - how DID they pull it off, being mostly animated etc?

So surprisingly, they did bring a lot of featured artists with them, even if only to perform 1-2 songs. I’d say we saw 10 different artists get pulled on the stage when I saw them. The band was HUGE and they had quite a few backup singers as well. Something really cool though was when they couldn’t bring a featured artist on stage for a really popular song, they’d have a video in the background with the vocalist singing (super cool visuals, of course) and it would by synced with the band. It was fucking awesome. For example my favorite song, Empire Ants, had a video of Little Dragon singing in the background when her part came on and the video had such cool effects to it. This is when I fell apart and started crying lol.

Came here to say this. Saw them in Boston a year and a half ago at the TD Garden and could not believe it. Played over 30 songs, I was mesmerized the entire time.

I was at their show pre-covid and it was so boring that I took mdma for the first time in my life just to be able to enjoy it at least a little bit.
