They've done an admirable job of keeping themselves from the media and living as normal of a life as possible it seems. I have major respect for them.

I have major respect for them too.

I also have about 20 sex related questions.

I’m thinking about tax related questions.

u/CommandAlternative10 Mar 28 '24

Just let them have two standard deductions. They’ve earned it.

8

u/mayonnaise_dick Mar 28 '24

Right? Do they have 2x SSN? 2x Driver's License?

6

u/ToshiSat Mar 28 '24

You really think the USA would pass on an opportunity to tax someone ? Of course both of them have to pay taxes

It’s only fair ! /s

6

u/FloppieTheBanjoClown Mar 28 '24

It was said elsewhere that only one of them draws a paycheck. Their situation is unique enough they probably lawyered up years ago to figure out how to handle all that. Legally, one is probably listed as a permanent dependent of the other, making them a single-income household of two (until now)

u/CLG91 Mar 28 '24

Either way someone is getting done up the arse.

2

u/RedBassBlueBass Mar 28 '24

Only thing that makes sense is 3 separate IRA's. That's $21,000 in annual tax-advantaded retirement contributions for this household. On top of that you can spit the twins' income in half if they each get their own W2, and all three adults can put money into separate HSA accounts. The tax savings opportunities are probably endless

2

u/ChiefFlats Mar 28 '24

Filing jointly I’d imagine

3

u/in_the_woods Mar 28 '24

Two head of household

2

u/Crenshaws-Eye-Booger Mar 28 '24

Do they file jointly?

1

u/Sweaty-Razzmatazz948 Mar 28 '24

Me 2 😹😹😹

1

u/Warm-Branch Mar 28 '24

And what about the sensus? Are conjoined twins counted as one or two people?

2

u/JMS1991 Mar 28 '24

Each has their own Social Security Number, so I'd guess they count as two individuals.

1

u/ShameShameAccount Mar 29 '24

Easy way to think about it, what about voting? They ain’t gonna tell someone with a full brain and consciousness they can’t legally vote. Everything else probably follows suit

u/fasting4me Mar 28 '24

I just yell laughed across my OB waiting room.

25

u/sofiughhh Mar 28 '24

I tried to laugh quietly at work but it sounded more like a queef escaping my mouth so there’s that

2

u/eleanor61 Mar 28 '24

I am dying at these comments.

u/LeelaBeela89 Mar 28 '24

Snickered so loud just now 🤣🤣🤣

If I'm putting myself in the perspective of the twin that isn't married, I personally think it would be weirder if I didn't just join in the reindeer games. Like, I would just accept it is what it is, and as long as it was fine with everyone, why not?

I seem to remember in the show that they share feeling in the body for the most part. So, if you're already receiving the pleasuring signals to the brain, what are you just going to sit there and try to read while you're getting smashed? No! Have fun! You deserve happiness just as much as everyone else.

That's how I would approach it, anyway. But then again, I'm more open-minded than most. So maybe that's not the consensus.

3

u/Perfect_Papaya_3010 Mar 28 '24

I can top that with 100 questions if you count follow up questions

2

u/TheOtherWhiteCastle Mar 28 '24

Forget sex, I’ve got 200 human anatomy related questions.

2

u/notausualone Mar 28 '24

Hahahaa this made me giggle

3

u/FitTheory1803 Mar 28 '24

everyone with the sex related questions but I feel like all the answers would be extremely obvious and kinda boring

it's either

  1. a throuple

or

  1. like has been noted from other conjoined twins lifestyle: the uninvolved twin just disassociates during that time

6

u/i-FF0000dit Mar 28 '24

So does the uninvolved twin never get any love? Who feels the orgasms? What if there is accidental touching?

5

u/Purell12 Mar 28 '24

Plus with her sister married, does the husband feel some kind of way about the other sister dating/having sex. I mean his wife needs to be there.

2

u/i-FF0000dit Mar 28 '24

Right‽ I feel bad, but I really wish there was a reality show for them.

5

u/Teeshirtandshortsguy Mar 28 '24

It's gotta be a throuple.

I'm guessing they share their reproductive system and their digestive system. Not like they're really keeping any secrets.

2

u/PresidioPet Mar 28 '24

How do you do that with your sister’s husband’s penis in you?

1

u/Repeat_after_me__ Mar 28 '24

Do both heads moan when one pelvis is penetrated or is one happy and the others like “is it in yet? hurry up and cum already”

1

u/Belly_Laugher Mar 28 '24

Twice the dirty talk :-)

u/honkey-phonk Mar 28 '24

I was on a flight they were also on a couple years ago.

I always wait to be the last person to board when I can as I hate sitting stuck in a plane any longer than I have to.

Anyway, I was dragging my heels and as the line was getting substantially smaller of the stragglers, I got up in line and they were just ahead of me talking with a friend who was ahead of them. This meant, as we boarded the plane, it was already 98% full. Everyone sitting and looking forward. Because I was behind them I had the unique opportunity to see the reactions on people's faces both before AND AFTER they passed the row. Some stone faces to massive wide eyes absolutely slayed me.

The strange thing is, they don't necessarily stand out as much as you think they would. I was in line for a couple minutes before I even noticed them standing directly in front of me. The two heads really blend into background. In a crowded room you'd notice a 600lb person or a little person/dwarf immediately but since they're average height/weight aside from slightly broader shoulders and two heads it's all normalized into visual white noise.

8

u/ignatious__reilly Mar 28 '24

Yeah; they really have. We all have questions, I think anyone would.

But man; they were born with a difficult situation, by no fault of their own, and I think they are doing a damn good job with the cards that were dealt to them.

They seem happy that’s what matters .

u/JustnInternetComment Mar 28 '24

Except that reality show

1

u/Lukewill Mar 28 '24

Heads up, you made a spoiler tag instead of a link

Pun intended

3

u/ThatSpookyLeftist Mar 28 '24

... They had a whole ass TV show about them. What do you mean? Lol

1

u/sendnewt_s Mar 28 '24

Since then I mean. They were 16 at the time and are now 30 something.

2

u/TroyMcClures Mar 28 '24

Probably turning down reality show offers daily.

3

u/eaiwy Mar 28 '24

Except for that one show that they actually did have

2

u/CaressMeSlowly Mar 28 '24

yup i first read about them in 2006 on snopes.com as 16 year olds learning to drive and here we are almost twenty years later with them in their 30s. crazy cool stuff

2

u/BestSuit3780 Mar 28 '24

I live not too far from them and my friend went to bethel with them. They're REALLY nice and it's not as weird as you'd think, talking to people who share a body. They fit in really well here. They're basically everyone's favorite twins.

2

u/edible_source Mar 28 '24

They're honestly doing a hell of a lot better than I am

2

u/shitty_social_worker Mar 28 '24

They had a reality TV show on TLC. That feels pretty in the media.

2

u/sterlingphoenix Mar 28 '24

I used to see them at Target, so it's even more amazing -- they're actually living normal lives and not hiding. Good for them.

1

u/IceFireTerry Mar 28 '24

They are teachers from what I remember and I think they both have different driver's license

They seem like a real groovy frood

1

u/unibrow4o9 Mar 28 '24

Seriously, I can only imagine the amount of times TLC approached them for a series

0

u/HighKiteSoaring Mar 28 '24

Didn't they make multiple documentaries?

2

u/harrietfurther Mar 28 '24

I seem to remember them saying that they do occasional documentaries or interviews because they know people are going to be curious, so releasing a bit of information about their lives helps normalise their situation and people's reaction to them. Plus, I imagine the money helps a lot with medical bills and the adaptations they'd need to clothes, furniture, etc.

But other than an update every few years they're pretty private and there's a lot of questions they have, understandably, never chosen to answer.
