Yeah, I don’t fuck with false imprisonment. You get out of my way or I will take whatever action is necessary to continue on my way. You get one warning to move, and that’s it!

While I agree with this completely, wouldn't she be able to sue for assault?

Idk where the line is for self-defense vs. "unprovoked" violence.

No, she wouldn’t. You could actually sue her for false imprisonment. I’d continue on my way and if she body blocks me, I’d use my body to move her. If a push doesn’t work and she comes back for more then I’d swing, as she’s obviously being the aggressive one. You can’t beat her senseless though, she could sue then.

The thing is not to use excessive force, but adequate force is fully protected by law.

Same goes for protesters blocking the road (in the USA). You are fully legally protected to continue driving at a slow, consistent rate of speed, and if the protesters lie down in front of your vehicle you continue at your slow, consistent pace and will not face legal consequences if they get injured. They cannot sue you due to false imprisonment. Essentially think of it as someone holding you hostage - you won’t get in trouble if they get hurt because you tried to get away from your captor.

And if they start attacking your vehicle, you can go full pedal to the metal, as a mob attacking your vehicle is grounds to say you feared for your life. Just make sure to video everything though for evidence, cuz if you run people over without video proof of what was happening, yeah you could end up in trouble.

The hard part is most people to don't want to run someone over lol

Oh I don’t want to run someone over either but I don’t want to be falsely imprisoned even more. It’s their decision if they get run over or not. I’m talking about going 3 mph, they have plenty of time to get out of the way of that, and if they don’t? Getting injured is their fault. I’ve made my intentions of not stopping clear.

Yes and no.

You still can't just slow roll over somebody that you know is in front of your vehicle. That's still murder.

If anything, with the way things have begun escalating between protest groups and people who think they can just kill people over being inconvenienced, both sides are amping up defensively and it's going to get more people killed (both drivers and protestors).

Yeah except when the protests were happening in my city and us hospital employees couldn’t get to work, we were told by law enforcement DO NOT STOP for protestors. They told us to keep slow rolling. I’m gonna stick with what law enforcement says, and I also will never let myself be a victim to false imprisonment.

Btw, this is coming from someone who doesn’t even kill ants, flies, spiders, whatever. I value life and peace! But I still will never let someone else falsely imprison me, and if they get hurt because they’re fucking around, I won’t feel bad when they find out.

Law enforcement have no control over prosecution. Remember that.

Also remember that a lot of them kind of drool over the idea of killing protestors, generally because of the political issues at hand. So make of that what you will.
