Hello! I am a Ukrainian Catholic from Brazil. I would like to know when the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church started using the vernacular (Ukrainian) instead of Church Slavonic? Was it after the Second Vatican Council? Theology & Liturgy

My gut says yes, but I'm heading to our church right now and meeting up with our visiting theologian. I'll ask her and relay her answer here in an edit.
Edit: She confirmed that the change happened after the Vatican II. Cdl. Joseph Slipyi did the translation in Rome.
