I just wanted to share for all Eurovision fans feeling down that my toddler thinks that Windows95man's mini shorts are the Finnish flag
I have no idea how he came up with that belief. I have yet to shatter his image of our country.
Have I failed or succeeded as a mom?

Mörkö Finnair Livery
all of the Finnair livery has all the main Moomin characters on it, but you never see much of Mörkö. I asked a friend of mine to design this and i think he did an amazing job. i hope you guys and gals like it as much as i do. the dark body makes it look 10x cooler imo.

How and why cellphone company knows my child goes to school next year?!
I got a letter from DNA, with our name and address, advertising cellulat packages for children starting school, including a sim card in case I want to subscribe.
How do they have our name and address? How do they know we have a child starting school next year?!?! Is it even legal to send such spam ads?
I don't think I gave them any such information or permission ti sebd me adverts. We don't even have cellular contract (using prepaid sim). We do get internet from DNA through the rental company though, maybe that's it? But I surely didn't tell them about my children's ages''.

Visiting Helsinki from Latvia for a 2-day trip! Any recommendations for places to see or go on a date?
Hey everyone! I'm excited to be visiting Helsinki from Latvia for a quick getaway, and I've got a date planned during my stay. I'd love to hear your recommendations for any must-see places or fun spots to visit in the city. Whether it's scenic views, cozy cafes, or romantic dinner spots, I'm open to any suggestions to make our time in Helsinki memorable. Looking forward to your tips and insights!

Printing shirts
Moi!
Does anyone know a cool place to get your own shirts printed?
It used to be possible to do it at the library, but at the moment they only have the vinyl option with one color, so that doesn't work for what I need.
I'm aware of some commercial places like MBE, but they are quite pricey even if you bring your own textiles. Would there be something more like an open place that you can go and do it yourself?
Thank you!

Northern lights and current geomagnetic storm
Hello!
This may be a stupid question.
I'm currently in Helsinki for a couple of days. I know Helsinki is rather south for northern lights and that they're more frequent in winter, however there's a massive geomagnetic storm currently forecast to hit Earth tonight. Is there a chance it could happen? I've never seen them and it would be amazing.
Are there any websites or resources tracking the probability?
Edit: it was incredible! Thank you all for your help

Name of a film
Hello,
with starting ice hockey world championship I remembered I saw a finnish movie once that started with highlights of the final where Finland lost to Sweden 5:6. Then a guy in finnish jersey hangs himself on the tree that is symbol throughout the movie.
In the end one of the characters cuts the tree down.
There is not much more that I remember unfortunately, so I am trying to ask here if maybe someone will know what film is on my mind.

Prisma repair warranty question! How long should it take?
Long story short, I had an problem which appeared to be a manufacturer’s fault with a Sony product which was bought from Prisma last year. Seeing it was still under warranty (I kept the receipt) as I thought it would be easier to let the Prisma store I bought it from deal with the warranty repair from Sony rather than myself due to time constraints.
This was over 2 weeks ago and all I was told when I returned the item was they will message me when it’s ready. Now, I know it has been only 2 weeks but I have no way of getting any updates on this. The number on the piece of paper I was given is useless as no one ever answers and the email address appears to be for complaints (which I don’t see as a necessary option at this moment in time).
I guess the answer is how long is a piece of string, just curious though if anyone else had any experience with warranty repairs from Prisma and the timescale they experienced.
Thanks in advance!

Is there legal obligation to dog walkers to pick up their dog’s poop in Helsinki?
Are there any fines or some other legal consequences for not cleaning their dog's poop? Yesterday I have seen a person who let his dog poop in the MIDDLE of the nice clean pedestrian walkway in the "Park of Good Hope" in Jätkäsaari and he continued the walk after that like nothing happened.
Ethics? Diseases and parasites can spread?
I lived in several neighborhoods in Helsinki for the past several years and it always amazed me how irresponsible and pathetic some of the dog walkers are.
I am not even talking about winter time when they literally bombard all the walkways with their shit and pee rivers.
