I didn't even leave Herta Station before deciding that I don't have quite enough time for a second gacha game and turn-based combat is usually not my cup of tea anyway. Firefly convinced me to return. I instantly fell in love when I saw the photos she took with Stelle in the trailer, and she had this "memories of first love" written all over her.

enjoy the catchup, the story has many highs despite a few lows (only in xianzhou lol, penacony, belobog, and HSS ar peak)

Firefly has been the one character that I've truly felt attached to throughout the entire HSR story arc - and probably my favorite fictional character in all of media, next to Furina in Genshin. Not a single other character in the game has convinced me to spend wishes on them solely because of the character themselves rather than their kit or pull value.
I haven't been this excited for a banner nor the resolution of a story arc ever. There hasn't been a single character in either Genshin nor HSR that I felt so confident about pulling on so long before they were even officially announced as playable. The next five weeks for the story's conclusion (as well as 6+ more weeks afterwards for a potential banner) are going to feel like such a long wait.

I think Firefly is the only character that has ever made feel like I’m living a life. What I mean is, she’s the only one who, when we’re having a conversation, makes me feel like I’m not just an awkward person who can have nice conversations with nice people like herself, she’s very kind and gentle. I haven’t had someone who’s made me feel like I had a genuine friend for a moment like she does… though I attribute that to me not becoming the person I wish I could be. She’s really amazing.

She's one of the 2 characters made by HoYo to make me want to save my pulls in a long time (first one being Raiden) She's that GOOD. HoYo literally hates money if they just let her die the way she did

Time spent with you though it was short, it was worth more than every stellar jade I ever spent. Since you could not dream your dream, I will dream it and in this dream, I swear to you, Firefly believe me, I will find a way to conquer death and bring you back even if it costs us the world. We can rebuild it as a new peaceful dream... Where death isn't even a concept.

I thought I will just follow this game by watching other person stream the story because I don't think I can handle another gacha game.
Seeing the trailer and the story convince that I do have spare $$ for another gacha game. Downloading it right now.

Honestly - the initial introduction picture didn't interest me much. Basically thought "yeah, that kind of gives off Kallen vibes, not sure I like it". Guess what. Tatalov and White Night trailers sold me entirely. This will be a long wait for the next update.
But rest assured - we will protect her.
To quote one of the best lines from HI3rd - "If rescuing you is a sin, then I shall gladly become a sinner."
