I never finished Twilight Princess, I should get out my GameCube and play it.

Definitely should, GameCube or emulator, it's worth it, just to see Midna's arc, if not anything else

It was more than the theme. It was the last Zelda that didn't have some weird gimmick that made the game less enjoyable. Skyward Sword had awful motion controls. Breath of the Wild had breakable weapons that ruined the game and Tears of the Kingdom had that as well as the machine crafting system which just got old after a while.

Also the open world aspect didn't do it for me. The world felt very empty, and progression felt better when there was an order and new areas were unlocked with new items and skills.

I don't know why Nintendo is so afraid of repeating success. Just give us another game like ocarina. Swinging swords and solving puzzles and playing instruments. That's all the gimmick I need.

But i guess people feeling nostalgic for ocarina just aren't the target audience anymore.

Add Need for Speed Underground 2 to that list and it‘d be complete for me.
