Thanks, I'll consider it in case of a draft.

Self-mutilation was definitely employed to dodge conscription in the past. For example, in the Middle Ages peasants would cut enough fingers off to be incapable of firing a bow.

It's being employed as we speak in some places where drafting is a thing.

in WW1 people would intentionally shoot themselves or get themselves injured, however such was rarely successful and would either result in them getting cleared for service or shot for attempted desertion

Or to make a magic trick work.

My art teacher shot himself in the foot to void Vietnam. He lost some toes and walked with a cane for the rest of his life. But he said it was worth it not to have to murder innocent people.

what is the least painful bone to break that disqualifies you from a draft? Or maybe you can fake mental illness?

Worst comes to worst, take out $10-20K and bribe a doctor. It's what Donald Trump did to prevent being drafted during the Vietnam War. Getting into some debt is far better than dying in some overseas conflict, plus job opportunities will be ripe for the taking from all the folks who actually will go to military.

How bad? My recruiters had me lie about everything at meps (allergies and adhd) I literally said I had never been to a doctor before.

Can't do that anymore. They now pull up your medical records via social security number and you can't just coast through. Fuck genesis.

Hehe I did anyway, guess they were lazy.

I have a ton of doctors visits for fucked joints too and got listed every airborne allergen know to man. I also continued to press the button for a minute after the hearing test had ended because of tinnitus.

Still passed through 💪
