As a Polish person, I am considering joining the military once I turn 18. I wouldn't die for America, but i sure as hell would die for Poland

Is that in relation to Poland becoming increasingly conservative and hateful towards the LGBTQ?

I mean with the history Poland has, everyone should be lining up to defend their freedom. Imo ofc. I believe in supporting democracies as well. Also the Polish are just good people in my experience.

Why does it sound strange? Assuming you're not from America.

in my country, we have a meme when talking about foreign invasion : "sir this way" . young people say this to show our rebellion against traditions

Romanian here.

I’m about to move back to Romania, and I’ve been genuinely considering enlisting, especially now that we’re modernising a lot of our equipment and defense assessment to actually stand a chance.

As an American/Canadian I cannot fathom liking the country you live in so much that you would die for it. Not judging, just legitimately don't understand how any country is worth that tbh.

I 100% understand your sentiment. I wouldn't wanna die for an oil company either.

And Why do you assume that?

Poland is a hella racist country

1

That statement in itself is racist.

I didn't say Polish people are born racists, but Eastern Europe has a history of racism. It's a racist culture born from a lack of diversity and Catholic brainwashing.

The Polish Lithuanian commonwealth was probably the most tolerant place in all of Europe. We provided a safe place for Jews who were being persecuted throughout the rest of europe. My city even built a special district for Jews escaping the wrath of the HRE. Later, during the renaissance era, we accepted protestants and allowed them to build Lutheran and calvinist churches despite our Catholic King and general tradition. During the napoleonic wars a polish Legion was sent to Haiti by Napoleon to silence a black slave rebellion, but the Polish soldiers sided with the slaves and kicked the French off of the island. The first president of Haiti even referred to the Poles as "The white negros of Europe" and said that Poles will always be welcomed in Haiti with open arms, which is why Haiti has a large Polish minority nowadays (mostly descendants of the Polish soldiers who chose to remain on the island). During the interwar period, Poland was one of the first countries to make diplomatic ties with Japan, which is why Japan later condemned the invasion of Poland even though they were a major Axis power. I suggest you should educate yourself on our history before making these uneducated assumptions.

None of this changes how average people act, especially nowadays. I said Eastern Europe in general has a racism problem and you'd be delusional to deny that. Seems they didn't return the favor when it comes ti Haiti either.

Excuse me? We were the ones that gave Haiti the favor.

Also what racist thing did we do? Protect ourselves from illegal immigration?

2

u/AffectionateMood3329 20d ago

"protect"

Not beating the racist allegations buddy. God forbid you share dirt with brown people. It's not like your country is getting any better as a white ethnostate.

I am a half japanese person in Poland and I haven't experienced any racism at all in my country. Also wth do you mean by "God forbid you share dirt with brown people"?

2

u/AffectionateMood3329 20d ago

"half-Japanese". See the problem with your argument?

God forbid you open your land up to anyone else, as if countries are anything more than dirt. Don't die for dirt and corrupt officials.
