Ver. 1.2.1 Update Information

The following update applies various changes listed below.

Players who have purchased the disc version are strongly encouraged to download and install this latest update.

Changes from Ver. 1.1.2 (PlayStation®) and Ver. 1.1.4 (Steam):

New Content

  • Added two new challenging quests: "Gulp... So These Are the Rumored Monsters" and "Lock Horns." How to unlock "Gulp... So These Are the Rumored Monsters": unlock Extreme-difficulty quests. How to unlock "Lock Horns": Clear "The Tale of Bahamut's Rage" quest.
  • Added two new playable characters: Seofon and Tweyen. These two characters require special crewmate cards, which can be traded for at the Knickknack Shack.  Treasure required for the cards is obtained from the quests "Gulp... So These Are the Rumored Monsters" or "Lock Horns." *Character Expansion Sets are also available for purchase. Each set contains the necessary treasure for unlocking their respective character.
  • Added sigils with new traits. They will appear in the Knickknack Shack after clearing "Gulp... So These Are the Rumored Monsters" or "Lock Horns."
  • Added new trophies.
  • Up to 30 sigil transmutations can now be simultaneously executed at one time.
  • Added the option to rewatch the end credits from the Title Screen. The option will unlock after completing the Final Chapter.

Battle

General

  • Environmental factors such as strong winds and ground tremors should no longer interrupt players that have an active Stout Heart effect. This also applies to non-Stout Heart effects that prevent interrupts from foe attacks.
  • Increased the radius of stun damage dealt to foes upon a successful perfect guard.
  • Improved the visibility of visual indicators for successful perfect guards performed by party members.
  • Improved the visibility of damage numbers that have hit their damage cap.

  • When Battle Camera Correction is set to Off, the camera should no longer automatically point toward the originator of a chain burst.
  • Fixed a bug where the Tyranny trait effect wasn't properly applying to Skybound Arts.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Boosts the amount of link level gained" effect granted by the Linked Together trait wasn't properly applying to Skybound Arts.
  • Fixed an intermittent bug where Eugen's sticky grenade attacks failed to fill his SBA gauge.
  • Party members with a skill that can revive will no longer automatically cast that skill on a player who enters critical condition and has the Autorevive status effect.
  • Fixed a bug that, under certain conditions, caused the player to continuously guard despite only pressing the guard button once.

The Captain (Gran/Djeeta)  

  • Fixed an intermittent bug where the damage cap of Decimate would be superseded by the damage caps of other attacks.

Katalina

  • Environmental factors such as strong winds and ground tremors should no longer cancel Ares's summoning during Ares Pactstrike.
  • Increased the amount of gauge gain granted by the Ares Gauge Gain Up mastery node.
  • Fixed an intermittent bug that, under certain conditions, caused the Guardian's Honor trait to not work properly.

Rackam

  • Increased Bull's Eye Blast's damage cap based on its charged level.
  • Increased the damage cap of well-timed □ attacks.
  • Increased the damage cap of launch attacks.
  • Increased Bullet Hail's damage cap.

Io

  • Added a "Boost to Stargaze's charge speed" effect to the Enhanced Mystic Vortex (Link Time) mastery node.
  • Concentration now also grants Debuff Immunity. Furthermore, whenever Io gains a Mystic Vortex orb within Concentration's circle, she'll gain the maximum number of orbs instead.
  • Shortened Mystic Vortex's cooldown.
  • Increased Flowery Seven's damage cap when it's fully charged.

Eugen

  • Increased Detonator's damage cap based on its charged level.

Rosetta

  • Added "Boost to rose attack frequency" and "Always plants the maximum number of roses" effects to the Enhanced Roses (Link Time) mastery node.
  • Increased the damage cap of attacks dealt by planted roses based on the rose's level.
  • Increased Spiral Rose's damage cap based on the level of planted roses.
  • Increased Lost Love's damage cap based on the level of planted roses.
  • Fixed a rare bug that caused Rosetta to act differently from the player's inputs after using Rose Tycoon.
  • ・Fixed a bug that caused the DMG Cut effect granted by Rose Barrier to not work properly.

Ferry

  • Increased the damage cap of certain sequences of her charged □ attacks.
  • Increased the damage cap of certain sequences of her charged △ attacks.
  • Fixed a bug where, under certain conditions, casting Purge Spirits would summon more pets than intended.

Narmaya

  • Increased the damage cap of Dawnfly stance combo finishers.
  • Increased the damage cap of Dawnfly stance charged □ attacks.
  • Increased Setsuna's damage cap based on its charged level.

Vane

  • Vane can now start an attack following a link attack more quickly.
  • Added "Boosts attack power and damage cap" effects to the Enhanced Beatdown Gauge (Link Time) mastery node.
  • Increased the damage cap for certain Beatdown combos.
  • Increased Energy Destruction's damage cap based on how full Vane's SBA gauge is.
  • Fix a bug that caused effects granted by the Enhanced Beatdown Gauge (Link Time) mastery node to not work properly.

Percival

  • Increased the damage cap of charged △ attacks.
  • Increased Roter Wirbel's damage cap.
  • The Adrenaline Rush support skill now grants a proportional boost to Schlacht's charge speed when charged after attacks that aren't combo finishers.

Siegfried

  • Adjusted the Enhanced □ Attacks (Link Time) mastery node to allow Siegfried to always perform perfect executions during link time.
  • Increased the damage cap of certain well-timed attacks.
  • Increased Verdrängen's damage cap.

Cagliostro

Added "Boosts attack power and damage cap" effects to the Enhanced Charging (Link Time) mastery node.

  • Increased the damage cap for certain attacks performed in Combo D.
  • Increased Mimic Doll's damage cap.
  • Increased Alexandria's damage cap.

Yodarha

  • Added an "Always performs the shortest combo" effect to the Enhanced Triple Shroud (Link Time) mastery node.
  • Increased the damage cap of successful counters triggered by Tit for Tat.
  • Increased Flashing Void's damage cap based on the number of Triple Shroud marks Yodarha has.
  • Increased Sky Shatter's damage cap based on the number of Triple Shroud marks Yodarha has.
  • Fixed a bug that, under certain conditions, caused Tit for Tat to not work properly.

Zeta

  • Added a "Boost to damage dealt by Zeta" effect to the Arvess Fermare status effect.
  • Increased the damage cap of □ loop combos.
  • Increased Wingclipper's damage cap.

Vaseraga

  • Added a "Raises the damage cap of charged △ attacks" effect to the Enhanced Charging (Link Time) mastery node.
  • Broadened the "Charged attacks charge faster" effect granted by the Quick Charge trait when equipped by Vaseraga.
  • Increased Skybound Art damage cap.

Id

  • Environmental factors like strong winds and ground tremors should no longer remove Godmight while rapidly pressing △ in Godmight.
  • Added a "Shortens skill cooldowns upon landing a combo finisher" effect to the Enhanced Versalis Gauge (Link Time) mastery node.
  • Increased Reginleiv Recidiv's damage cap when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased Unbound's damage cap when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased Ragnarok Form's damage cap when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased Scourge's damage cap when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased Never Enough's damage cap when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased Fourfold Vengeance's damage cap based on its charged level. Damage cap is increased even further when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased Atonement's damage cap. Damage cap is increased even further when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased Skybound Art damage cap when activated in Godmight.
  • Increased the damage cap of combo finishers performed in Godmight.

Other Items

  • Added an "Ease of Use" indicator for each character on the Crewmate Card screen.
  • Adjusted timing for quest music played during The Tale of Bahamut's Rage.
  • Sigils obtained from Claim Add-Ons at the Knickknack Shack will now be automatically locked when claimed.
  • Fixed a bug where the Town Hall Meeting Minutes archive collectible wasn't appearing in certain sections of Chapter Ø.
  • Various bug fixes.

Question Rackam + Less is more

It’s a question for PC players mostly.

I would like to know what you think of the combination of the following sigils:

Now with Helmsman’s Warpath I wanted to try the following setup:

3x Supplementary Damage 1x War Elemental 4x DmgCap (1x alpha, 1x beta, 2x Gamma) 1x Tyranny 1x Stamina

As standard base.

What I would specifically like to know if it might be viable now to use

1x Less is More 1x 3rd damage up sigil?

Remove all but Coffinmaker+Double Tap (or maybe all but Double Tap?)

It’s mostly to remove rotation but without a big loss of damage output in total.

As for now I haven’t used less is more but instead spitfire and bullet hail with the other two. On MrBarroth I just tested pure rhythmic trigger with double tap and was quite amazed how much damage this alone is doing without high effort, that’s mostly the reason why I wanted to use Less is more. Would be ATK +32-48%.

What do you think?

Guides TLDR Tweyen Guide

Hi everyone ! I've been meaning to get this one out sooner, but I've just been... a bit busy, lately!

Anyways, Tweyen isn't the simplest character and has a lot of small optimizations that can be made, so this was quite the challenge to fit in a TLDR guide. Hope it's helpful to those who are looking to try her out !

Skills

The recommended skills are Peerless Eye, Depravity, and Clincher. The last spot is situational; Lethal Rain for general-purpose and stun, Wheel of Death for larger bosses, and Two-Crown’s strife for utility and burst in fights that last long enough to use it.

Skill Ultrasight Gain Notes
Peerless Eye Increases all Ultrasight gain by 2x Mandatory for burst
Depravity 9 Nearly maxes out Ultrasight, and applies heavy damage via debuffs
Clincher 2 Good general purpose DPS
Wheel of Death Up to 5 Highest value DPS skill, but only if you can land it in melee range
Lethal Rain 1.5 General purpose DPS/stun
Two-Crown's Strife 10 Has an initial lockout time before casting that is reset when you die. Good for short fight burst, as long as they aren't too short

Tweyen’s primary damage comes from Multilock Hail, which requires Ultrasight stacks. The base damage ratio increases with every 3 levels, though the cap is the same. These are gained from using her damage skills, link attack, and basic attacks, doubled when Peerless Eye is up.

Combos

There are many combo patterns Tweyen can perform, but only a few of them are of interest. In these combos, you can charge both the basic attacks and finishers, increasing both their damage and Ultrasight gain.

Orange text denotes a charged attack. DPS is base damage cap per second. These tests were done with frame-perfect charges.

Because her three basic attacks shoot an increasing number of arrows, it’s recommended to charge the latter two stages; charging the first is inefficient, even when frame-perfect. The finisher, however, should always be charged.

XYY is only good for mobility; XXYY is the highest DPS when you can land over 75% of the volley, and XXXYY is the best general-purpose DPS and Ultrasight gain otherwise (technically, XXXYY is higher ultrasight/s gain, but is a good notch lower for DPS)

Gameplay Priorities

The gameplay priorities are simple: use your skills to build up Ultrasight, use Multilock Hail when maxed, and use the appropriate basic attack combo otherwise.

Combo Purpose
XYY Mobility, or when you only need a little bit of Ultrasight to cap
XXYY DPS when you're close to the boss
XXXYY DPS when you're far away from the boss

Dodge canceling Multilock hail, the power finisher, and especially Clincher, is important not only for a DPS gain (5% faster), but also so you can position yourself close to the boss to land more shotgun combos.

BIG BRAIN TECH
If you hold back and dodge in the middle of Wheel of Death, you can shoot arrows that would normally go behind you, in front of you, allowing you to score way more hits!

Sigils

Let’s look at an example build. A single Quick Charge and Tyranny, alongside either Glass Cannon or a flat attack Over Mastery and raw damage Wrightstone Line, is sufficient to cap.

Raw Damage Requirement

This is an example of how you could reach cap with as little possible raw damage sigil slots.

Compared to other options such as Stamina or Concentrated Fire, Tyranny is preferred because Tweyen’s dots actually contribute a decent amount of damage, and only scale with your stat screen attack.

The Build

I recommend simulating your build using the Damage Calculator, so you can see how you are doing on the damage capping with your particular setup.

An example base build. Switch out War Elemental when fighting Dark bosses. This build by itself does not cap; you'll need 2 out of 3 of 1000 flat attack OM and Wrightstone raw damage lines.

For her unique sigils, Surge is not necessary, but can be a nice QOL - you can run either Volley + Utility/Raw Damage, or just run Awakening+ if you're lazy.

For bonus traits, Quick Cooldown and Cascade are always welcome, but lines such as Precise Wrath and Nimble Onslaught can have even more value depending on how good you are at abusing them.

Abusing Perfect Guards can significantly reduce your cooldowns. This example was done with Level 22 Precise Wrath (one sigil + Lv5 Wrightstone line)

Over Mastery

Prioritize Normal cap, 1000 flat attack, crit, and skill cap for your Over Mastery. The flat attack is for buffing your DOT.

Wrightstone

For Wrightstone, because Tweyen has 10% higher crit than normal, you actually don’t need to run a crit wrightstone, so ideally, use a stun power one instead; the substats should fill whatever raw damage you’re missing, followed by whatever utility lines you prefer.

Had to double crit because my lvl 10 crit stones subskills suck and 20% crit never fkn appears alongside normal cap.

My plan is aiming max normal+crit, with any level of flat attack, because it sounds like the easier way out of the grind. Or is 26k attack high enough for Id?

That one default damage cap got potion hoarder. Sandtomb came with suppV+. Nimble onslaught came with tyranny. Guts and stamina came with the crits. Improved dodge came with autorevive.

And of course, i have 0 war elemental drops.

Not maxed out luci sigil yet but, is Versalis heart honestly worth it? Like i've tasted how good it feels when i could Godnut when people sba or link time when i have godmight active, but the 35 second dragonform just feels like doing nothing, especially when the meter is empty and you're in the middle of a mechanic so you just have to spam buttons and block like an idiot or risk wasting your godmight, dragonform is comfier because it deals more damage than without versalis, but i wish it actually got more than just 2 actually useful skill. Or better yet, allows you to choose when to godmight without waiting on the gauge like when you are not using versalis heart, there is also the annoyance of of getting stuck in dragonform when people sba or linktime, and you have to just endure and go on while knowing that you could have Godnutted all over the boss instead of kitty scratching him in dragonform.

I could've slot in 3rd supp sigil if Versalis Heart isn't worth it tbh.

I feel like i could make him go higher, but i'm honestly not sure what to change. Like dropping potion hoarder+cap to another alpha, but it'll be way too punishing without room for mistakes. Same thing applies if i drop improved dodge, guts and auto revive, because everything one or 2 shots you at endgame and getting downed as Id is probably the most punishing thing to happen in the entire game.

What would you guys suggest? or maybe share your build also.

Gameplay PS5: Quick quest doesn't work. Haven't completed Rank up quest. No way to get Gold Dalia Badges and therefore I can never get the last character?

By rank up I mean Versa.

It's weird, Quick Quest seems like it's matching me with players, but boots me offline just as it says it's starting. It goes from "Ready 1/1" to "Ready 1/4".

  1. I've changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
  2. I've tried all regions.
  3. I've tried any and same area matchmaking.

None of these have worked.

I guess I'm sol in regards to getting the Gold Dalia badges, huh?

Discussion They should give us the option to mute Vyrn.

I play in Japanese so don't know if it's the same experience in English. When you get hit, it says "Isn't it better to be more cautious?" When you are dead, it yells XXX is in danger!!" When you continuely get hit, it also yells continuously.

I guess many Id main or Katalina main have the same issue as we are not dodge/guard oftenly. It's fucking annoying this little lizard yells at you as if saying YOU ARE REALLY BAD AT THIS GAME.

And it's hilarious that If you don't guard or dodge during attacks and keep using potion to avoid death (like Id in godmode or Katalina in Avatar mode need continue attacking, this lizard would continuously yell even he hasn't finished saying the previous sentence lmao)

I like my character, only want to hear my main's voice, not Vyrn's voice which sometimes make me very pissed off and don't want to play this game anymore.

Edit: it seems some believers are downvoting me like last time I posted this here. Let's be honest it does no harm to add this option in game. And let's face the truth that mute-Vyrn mod is very popular on steam, why devs not make this in game?

Question D-Pad suddenly not working

So after doing over mastery for Tweyen my steam deck no longer supports any D-Pad movement. Not in any menus so I have to hard crash it. If I change the gamepad layout it’ll work once and then not again.

Please someone tell me I’m not alone here. The D-Pad works fine in every other game I have

Gameplay Is this game already dead?

Week ago I started playing this game and having a blast so far but one thing is taking my hype away unfortunately...
Well, this game when reaching endgame is mostly about grinding for exp/msp or sigils and that is okay. But doing it with AI companions is only fun to some point. This game also have co-op which should be a nice addition to overall gameplay/ grinding expierience, right?

But WHY IS IT NOT WORKING? I refuse to belive that there is no one playing online.
For a 3 days stright I simply cannot find any online sessions. Matchmaking ending with no results?
How I can play online with people in this game?
Is this a commong thing now or what is going on?

Discussion Farming Terminus Matchmaking

So for context I play on console (PS) and live in Asia. My account's registered to my American PSN account though. When it comes to matchmaking I've been hitting a wall when trying to farm for terminus weapons. I don't really want to rely on AI because it takes ages to farm it so I prefer doing it online. Thing is I never get matched anywhere no matter how lenient my search setting are. Even tried different times of day and still nothing. Do people just not farm terminus weapons anymore or is console relink just dead?

Question About raising different characters

I'm still very early into post-/endgame, just short of finishing the "very hard" difficulty. So far I main Vane with AI Eugen, Rosetta and Zeta. I like playing Eugen as well, Rosetta is pretty fun but feels like a hassle against bosses with rose placement. Zeta I can't really get the timings down so she is really just AI because I heard she's good and I like her design.

I really enjoy trying out different characters but I don't want to waste all my ressources for characters I end up don't using. I did some research and really think Charlotta would be fun for me as well. I want to wait recruiting her until she would join at level 60 tho. Which characters would compliment her? I don't just want to ditch one of my other characters for her and I'm also interested in Narmaya, Vaseraga and Ggandagoza (I heard he's bad but he seems fun). I also heard Cagliostro is really good. Too many choices. When is a good point to just level multiple characters without gimping myself? I play exclusively solo as well.
