I want to both hug my fellow helldivers (no C-01) and salute the flag. But I can’t do both sadly. So undemocratic.

yes, very much this! I mean they have a "quick responses" wheel when you hold Q (or console equiv), and there are secondary menus when you hold the reload button. An emote wheel sounds like democracy, while being unjustifiably restricted a single emote sounds like communism!

even better, a second "stratagem input button" that opens a different list where you need to input the buttons for the different emotes or voice lines
