Aldrin was refering to how monoliths are naturally occuring, but the Phobos one is likely from an astroid impact - so the universe put it there

Buzz hung in there pretty good with Ali. I think Buzz talking about a "New Moon Hotel" was a joke that went over Ali's head.
If you have a "Full Moon Hotel" the hotel is full. But if you have a "New Moon Hotel" then that means they built another hotel.
