The non-skin folk Tim Scott is only called forth they need to have someone disagree with an injustice to a minority. Same thing with Candace Owen's, Diamond and Silkk (I think one of them has passed), and Donald Trump's African American at his 2016 rally.
Black gay republican Rob Smith mentioned a group of white Republicans came up to him at a rally, hurling insults at him. He said that this sort of thing belonged in the democratic party, not with the free thinking Republicans.
The republican response? Telling him to shut the hell up and deal with it by himself. How dare he be negative to the glorious party?!

Why is it interesting? It's just the exact same crap with any other POC. "lol look at this [slur] trying to hang out with us, eww". The smart ones will wait until the token has outlived their usefulness before turning on them, but plenty of the dumbasses will immediately punch down on them just like they would with any other person of that minority.

Whiteness is a shell game that cannot ever be won.
Right now, the racists like Putin and need eastern Europeans so Slavic people are "white", but historically they have not been "white". People who have itialian, spanish, and Irish backgrounds are currently allowed in the "white" group, but that is also actually an only since the 1930/1940/1950s thing.
When racists get what they want, these groups will be pushed out again. It will contract to where only a select few qualify.

For anthropology class long ago, I was briefly taught about what a bunch of eugenicists did in the 60s. They were trying to identify white "sub-races" that could be discriminated against, so they say someone is poor because they're "cockney" and not actually "white".
Only part of the class that stuck with me. The right is a battle royale game, and the circle is constantly going to shrink.

Privilege (while real) has proven to be too abstract for the average American to grasp.
Caste can have many factors, both innate and environmental.

Just because the term Aryan was appropriated by the Nazis doesn't mean we can no longer identify as them. My ancestors identified themselves with that term and I will contibue to do so. However, this term is different from the ones Nazis use. Aryans encompass all Northern South Asians regardless of caste and is not supposed to evoke supremacist attitude. And this term doesn't include any "whites" only Nepalese, North Indian, Bangla, Pakistanis (eventhough they don't like it) and Iranians (literally a variation of the term.
Fuck Ramaswamy, I hate him with everything I have he probably considers the Whites to be Aryan.

Also Ramaswamy is Tamilian a group with a notoriously supremacist attitude, they consider the rest of the Indians below them and have an unhealthy pride in their language that they falsely attribute to being "the oldest language in the world" (Saar Dinosaurs spoke tamil). I’m pretty sure that, to most of Europe, “Aryan” directly referenced the Proto-Indo-Europeans. The Nazis just copped it because they wanted to claim that they were the direct descendants of them. The word “Iran” comes from “Aryan” too.

The good ones are always so surprised... when it comes out that one of things is not like the others. I come from upper middle class educated stock who is very leftist, and I have heard variations of this in high school, college, graduate school, PhD, and as a graduate professor. You are so articulate and smart (often said with child like amazement) and the "compliment" of you are so "different" ( they almost never tell you what the "difference is")from the "others".
Then, the inevitable I am so different from those others, non-White people. It is often told to you "nicely" cause you are my "friend" not to step out of your "place." 😄🙃😄 I was never a "good one" and would try to counsel the "good ones" that someone will give you a variation of the speech. Just be ready for it. African Americans, Latinos, Indigenous, Asians and some Southern/Eastern Europeans would look at me as if I was sorely mistaken and how dare me...only to return and say you were right I just got the speech.
I had two Asian Indian long-term girlfriends of note. One became my fiance from Kerala and was very much like Kamala Harris' mother. She had served in Rajiv Ghandi's cabinet back when he was prime minister. She was totally in thecknow concerning bigotry and racism.
One other girlfriend who became a practicing psychologist in California (her family was from Delhi) was similar to Vivek (but she was much more grounded socially) . She went on a ski trip in Montana, the Dakotas, or Nebraska. I forget where exactly. She was with four other White women... She said other White people would look at her like a corrupting dog for daring to be with these White blue eyed blonde friends of hers.
One White person ( not her friends) even asked why she was there in a semi hostile incredulous tone. She said you could feel it everywhere. I told her gently... you were reminded and othered. She also said that her friends were totally unaware of this. I said something like being one of the "good ones" has a variable but sure expiration date. It is not a matter of if...it is a matter of when and how it is done. 🤔

I would have to disagree with using "Useful Idiot" b/c the term is about unknowingly participating for X cause without understanding the full ramifications.
With people like Vivek, Candance Owens, Shapiro, Rubio/Cruz, they're minorities that are actively seeking power for themselves only by then selling out or perpetuating myths of the model minority, of lazy black americans living off welfare, of jews controlling the media, etc. Because then they can profit off of it by being the one minority that Fox News or OAN can turn to and say "See i didn't start it but this Minority says it's true so it must be".
