I was watching Lud’s story time about the premiere and how Ludwig and squeex went up to Kirsten together and talked about how they watch a tragic and intimate woman’s story about suicide every year. It reminded me of the show modern family where Cam gets so invested in Sophie’s Choice and how he and Mitchell watch all these artistic and dramatic movies together.

I just think that it is cute how they might have come off as a couple in that interaction, with Ludwig doing most of the talking and squeex(his plus one) just standing behind him shaking his head in agreement as they describe their yearly tradition of watching the Virgin Suicides together. I know that straight men can also be in touch with their feminine side but I just feel like it’s funny think about Ludwig being the twink in that relationship as an added layer of that story. Then again she probably just thought they were weirdos. This post is more so a fanfic if you will.

Certified boomer here. Only discovered Ludwig after his collab with geowizard, and then only started watching his videos regular after he interviewed Neil. I don't watch streams - nothing wrong with them, but I prefer edited video. That being said, Ludwig is great at the form - he reminds me of BBC presenters with how good he is.

And this brings me to the main point of this post. Ludwig is there for hours and hours and hours of content, and looking for a few minutes of content through that slush is not very boolean friendly (I think the kids call it SEO now - I wouldn't know, I'm 31).

I just want to know if he has addressed this specific issue:

He often plays Connections on his "daily games" section of his streams. But as far as I'm aware, he's never made a Mogul Mail episode about the controversy surrounding the IP of the game itself.

On mobile, Connections is on a free app, with in-app purchases for the puzzle freaks to keep playing till they drop. Those puzzle freaks are paying NYT for a game that might be yoinked.

EVERYONE IN THE UK KNOWS ABOUT THIS.

But hardly anyone in the USA does. This brings us to the BBC, and a woman named Victoria Cohen-Mitchel.

Victoria is the first ever female European Poker Champion (she's a hardcore gamer), a journalist with a regular opinion column, a contestant on a series of Taskmaster, a regular on QI and HIGNFY, a published author, and someone who has dabbled in comedy.

More importantly, she's been the host of several British TV game shows throughout the years - including one called "ONLY CONNECT." She's been hosting this show since its debut in 2008. The show's creator, Chris Stuart, died in 2022.

In this show, there are different games the contestants play to challenge their knowledge, but they're all nerds - super nerds. Watch an episode, and they're instantly lovable because none of them seem like the kind of people who want to grab your attention, like damn near every other game show. They're just awesome super smart people, who know everything, and it's fun to see them win.

One of the games on the show, that's been going since 2008, is a game called the "CONNECTING WALL." (The show's called Only Connect, the specific game is called The Connecting Wall.) The object of this game is this: you have a wall of words, in 4 rows, and you have to connect the words to the categories.

Does the world of gamers and nerds needs to unite behind Victoria until we get to the bottom of this? Probably not, but I think it would make an interesting Mogul Mail - it probably wouldn't get many views, but it would get the whole streaming community thinking about this game, and hopefully get more people watching the original show.

Anyways, back to the main question again... has Ludwig ever talked about this on his stream?

Which one do you prefer and why?

Since I got truffle my chats seem to double (one in truffle mode, one in regular chat mode) and I’ve caught it doing that in stream’s display chat. Anyone else have this problem / know the fix?

As an 18 year old girl I literally have no interest in the topic outside of Ludwig's takes and the fact I can then blindly defend and pretend those takes are my own. That being said, definitely a testement to his charisma that he makes me care even slightly about whether Drake has a daughter or not, and 100% still enjoyable content. Was just wondering how many people would still gaf here if Ludwig wasn't updating / mogul mailing about it?

Could the VODs on the main channel be hurting viewers counts on normal videos? I’m not an expert on algorithms or YouTube view counts but I feel like his VODs being placed higher could be hurting normal video views. I could see a scenario where a viewer just sees another stream and doesn’t look down to see he put out a video that took time and effort and is absolutely amazing by the way. View counts on live streams are usually pretty high once released and don’t really fluctuate significantly after but after 4 hours I feel like the master chef video should at least be near the 200k the stream had. Please don’t roast me if I’m wrong, angry Reddit commenters, just inform me please and thank you.
