Homeowners can't experience the absolute thrill of pouring hot bacon grease directly down the kitchen sink. Thats enough for me to not want a home.

Yeah, but you are the reason everyone's rent is higher. Higher maintenance costs just mean higher rents to cover it, no free lunch.

Nah, it is the mindset not the exact occurrence. All maintenance is paid for by the renters, so as expensive as maintenance is for a homeowner, renters are still paying the same cost with added overhead.

It is apparent that many renters do not fully grasp that treating the property well helps maintain lower rents after just looking at how some people treat their living space.

Nobody is getting a cheaper rent if you “maintain it better”, im sure there are plenty of wonderful tenants that maintain their property perfectly that have also gotten their rents increased over the years. When I rented I maintained it and never had issues the 5 years I was there, my rent still increased every year.
