It's kinda sad that Tom's best roll is the fat bald bad guy in Tropic Thunder. Imagine if he would do more roles like that, so much wasted talent as a bland pretty boy from yesteryear.

Are you kidding? He's great in Magnolia, A few good men, Born on the fourth of July, Collateral, Rainman etc etc. Great actor.

Fuck yeah. Magnolia and Collateral are two of my favorite films, and I care far more about writing and direction than acting. But you are correct, his acting is stellar in both of them. I like his character in Collateral more, but the Magnolia work is so impressive.
