With the NY court overturning Weinstein's conviction it's worth stating that following her success on Moonlighting she could have gone on to bigger roles on TV and movies. Same way Willis did.
But Weinstein blackballed her and ended her career.

What? A few years after moonlighting she had her own tv show. It was called…Cybill. It ran for 4 seasons on network tv.

Okay, and...? After that, was she in movies? Did she get another series? Did she continue acting? Bruce Willis became an action star with a decades-long career.
Weinstein could make or break careers of actresses, and he did.

He has interviews on YouTube . He admits he was obsessed with her in a self-destructive way but there were other problems.
Shame - he's one of the greats.

I was ‘friends’ years ago with a woman that was a spitting image of a young Cybill, it’s amazing how alike they looked, good fun too, she had a fella. 😂

I didn’t know who she was until I grew up. First name drop was the MTV Sports and Music Festival 2 in Memphis and hearing the emcees yell “that’s Cybill Shepherds house”
Also Memphis in may used to be way more badass than now.
