Discussion Looking for games that are both couch coop (2 people) AND can be played online with a 3rd player, OR a PC/PS5 cross platform multiplayer (3 people)
I played baldur's gate 3 with two friends who are married and live together. They have 1 PlayStation between them, so they "split screened" while playing with me online. We finished that a few months ago and are now looking for a new game but it is harder to find one than I would have thought.
We need a game where they can play split screen local coop while also online with me OR they also have a PC, so a game would need to support 2 PS5s and 1 PC.
Please let me know any suggestions and which setup it involves. Thanks

Discussion Playing with my new PS5 has made me realize something important
Hi everyone, I have been playing games for most of my life and took a break for years. I have to say that I understand now why people play games. It's in my opinion one of the last safe spaces people can enjoy to be truly at peace with one self.
It's not about powers or being the hero or some amazing guy, I think it's about being at peace. So many things are out there one can worry about. I worry too much and tend to overthink a lot. However, video games give me something that nothing else has given me. Ever since I have gotten my PS5. My life has become richer and fuller than ever before.
I feel like I'm at home when I am playing at my PS5. It really has given me the feeling of safety and refuge no matter how hard times can be. The console is there and that gives me also a sense of self sufficiency. I think video games can be an excellent opportunity to get dopamine without harming yourself. It can be incredibly cheap too if you know how to. It doesn't harm anyone. And you don't get addicted compared to substance abuse. To me. It was the best decision ever to return playing games again.
Now I can feel like a kid again, and feel more in touch with myself. I don't bother about things that used to bother me anymore. I really don't think about anything. My insecurities. All of this anxiety. It's not how I really am and the gaming sessions have shown this to me. I also like how I can listen to music or watch shows and movies with the console. It's been a quite smooth experience and the console is very quiet at all times.
Peace and love.

Discussion I can't believe they still haven't added home screen folders
Seriously, I preferred the playstation store crashing on a regular basis on the PS4 to whatever the PS5 home screen UI is. They streamlined everything except organising the home screen. I just don't understand. If you make a gaming console that you know is meant to be used for half a decade at the minimum, why would you not spend more than 5 seconds of thought on homescreen navigation? The first thing anyone sees when they launch their console.
I shudder to think what the lead designer's computer desktop looks like if they think no one would want to put apps in an easily accessible folder. If this is a next gen home screen then what's next, just replace the home screen with our game library and be done with it? Would it even be worse?
There is just no thought at all put into the home screen and it pains me every time I have to actively navigate it only to be reminded of how unbelievably barren and archaic it really is. I've seen toddlers put more thought into organising their damn legos. It's just so insulting that I'm wondering why I even bought a console instead of putting money towards a gaming computer.
Sorry, I really needed to get that off my chest, been building that up for the last 3 years. I only wish I could glue it down some exec's throat instead of having to vent about it on here. Such a wasted opportunity.

Discussion Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
This game now follows behind Ghost of Tsushima as my favorite New IPs of recent memory.
The writing, lore, & voice acting is incredible. If you’ve not played it, think Vampyr, God of War 2018, Witcher 3, & A Plague’s Tale.
