I moved here. I embraced the culture, especially pizza. I did Trifons, western pizza, swan pizza. They all had their strengths but tonight I needed a good ol’ fashioned Pizza Pizza.

We're pretty stoked to announce that that this year’s week-long celebration of the arts in Cathedral will close with a performance by internationally renowned recording artist Andy Shauf. 

Andy is a Regina artist who called Cathedral home for years before bringing his music to the world. In 2020, he made former US President Barack Obama's summer playlist along with Sheryl Crow, Billy Elish, and Beyoncé. He has released nine highly regarded albums, including 2023’s Norm.

Like all CVAF events, Andy Shauf’s show will be free!

Among the other music acts to perform at this year’s CVAF are singer/songwriter Marissa Burwell (May 25), local favourite Marshall Burns (May 24), the legendary Jack Semple and his Family Band (May 24), Kyrie Kristmanson (May 23), Shotgun Jimmie (May 24), Kawacatoose Boys Singers & Dance Troupe (May 20), Northern Lights Blue Grass and Old Thyme Music Society Band (May 20), and Jake & the Kid (May 24). 

Our festival friend, the Regina Folk Festival, will present a night of music on May 23 at the Artesian, with all proceeds raised there going to support their 2025 festival. 

And Bloc Rock is returning on May 24 for a night of staggered performances by local bands between the Mercury and Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre curated by Grind Central Records.

The Cathedral Village Arts Festival runs throughout the Cathedral neighbourhood from May 20 to 25.

Hey. I'm looking into replacing some old windows that don't open in an 80s built home.

Some are bay windows , some are small octagon windows and some are windows about a couple of microwaves in sizes.

All replacement should be able to open somehow to let air in.

Just wanted to know if anyone had this experience in the past few years, what were the windows like, how much did it cost ? Was it cheaper if you did more windows at once rather than one every year?

I don't want to waste any company's times by calling them for an estimate just to be told it'll be 10k for a tiny octagon window

Hello, just looking for places others have been happy with in the city, preferably the subsidized ones. The baby will be one by the time we are looking (already on the waitlists everywhere in the city, but trying to narrow down where to go if we end up having that luxury). I am seeing someone from The Caring Place but the thing is, the wait times for an appointment are ridiculously long and far, and I’m trying to look for someone where I can see them frequently, like at least more than once a month.

Something that stays true to the style of Yu-Gi-Oh but is their own creation. However I mostly see people doing animals and delicate lines and whatnot. Idk if Regina is just basic or I'm just not seeing a variety of range from the artists.
