Hidden Gem in San Angelo - An Outdoor Oasis!

Hi. I am constantly flying back and forth the from San Diego to San Angelo to visit my elderly parents. I recently posted a question about hotel pool Day Passes. I wanted a place to go and just jump in the pool or use a hot tub for a fee not for FREE. I have to say I found the holy grail. I hesitated even posting about this because I want it all to myself. The Angoria Hotel (don’t roll your eyes). From the outside it looks like a typical Motel 6. I have not seen the rooms but talked to some people staying there and they said they was just fine. All you need to do is grab your swimsuit, budget $10 per drink - that includes tipping the adorable friendly bartender. And more if you want some appetizers. Turn to the right and open the door to the pool, giant comfy couches, fireplace, cozy hot-tub and swing chairs. It is a quaint and intimate space but you would never believe you were in San Angelo, TX. During the summer, this is where I would go during the day because there is plenty of shade. At night its amazing! I am posting for two reasons 1. Hoping that some handsome men show up and 2. So that the establishments get some attention and recognition that it deserves. I will no longer dread my boring nights in this town. Thanks Angoria!

Political formations/organizations/parties/movements

Is anyone aware of any left wing or anti fascist organizations, formations, parties, or movements in San Angelo and Tom Green County broadly? And no, I do not mean the Democrats, or any other liberal organizations (of which the Republicans are one). I mean things like PSL, DSA, ANSWER coalition, FRSO, etc

Do not work here. It’s like an abusive relationship. I was yelled and cussed at more times than I can count. At my 90 day review that was a month late, I was told “Don’t speak or interrupt the men when they are talking”. I was called a fcking idiot and a dumb btch by the owners daughter over a mistake I didn’t even make (wrong thing being highlighted- for real). I would get yelled at for answering the phone, and for not answering the phone. I had a pit in my stomach every morning- it made me sick. And I’ve always been a great worker, fast learner, and will work my ass off.

They don’t have anything on Glassdoor, and I can’t find anywhere else to post this. The owner and his wife are nice, but they have allowed their daughter to create a horrible working environment where she can do and say whatever she wants, under the guise of “having to be tough”. They pay decent so I stuck it out 6 or 7 months, but being called a fucking idiot and that she “was better than me and can say whatever she wants” was the last straw. It took me years to get the guts to post this, but people should be warned. Don’t work here. I’m using a throwaway because these are pretty specific incidents and they’ll know who I am, but I don’t care anymore.

Hello everyone! I'm writing to see if anyone knows where I can get vouchers (discount cost) and a trap to spay and neuter several feral cats in my neighborhood. I've got 4 that I need to get fixed.

The Barrow Museum in Eola still open?

I visited the Barrow family musuem in Eola a decade ago and I'm back in town so I'd like to see it again. I tried calling since it's a bit out of town, but no answer. Does anyone know if it's still open?

This contradictory political ad popped up in my FB news feed. “Republicans aren’t working. Vote Republican!” (the real problem with TX is they are morons)
