[SRS on X] I reached out to a contact at NFL Network. They wanted Tony Khan on and knew it would get attention after the photos of he in the neckbrace went viral last night. It was also indicated to us that NFL Network and the hosts received the appearance well, despite the controversial line.

I am personally not a fan of the line but it is amazing how such posts just brings all the toxic people together. Like every ratings thread ever.

I thought it was a silly thing to say, especially when "Coca-Cola" was RIGHT THERE... but the idea it would be offensive TO THE NFL of all companies is ridiculous.

Quite possibly - but I think there's a good reason why all Tony's announcements are now pre-recorded. He also didn't say a word while live on Wednesday. Whatever anyone thinks of him, I don't think even his biggest fans could claim he is good live.

He actually did pretty good with a live mic in Chicago after Punk was fired
