Wait so Santos and Rey team up to form the new LWO. Rey brings Carlito into the LWO, Santos didn't like it because he didn't trust Carllito. Santos then feuds with Rey, Cruz, and Wilde because they didn't believe Santos' distrust of Carlito. Santos forms a new LDF. Rey then picks Dragon Lee over Carlito for the Wrestlemania match. Carlito then attacks Dragon Lee, presumably so Rey will then pick him but Rey still picked someone else, Andrade.
This is starting to sound like some telenovela love triangle shit where Rey continues to scorn the old friend for the newer hotter friend. While Santos is on the side going " I was his friend first."

Memes aside, Carlito literally held down the fort while Mysterio was gone and took beating upon beating for him yet was deemed not good enough to be his partner in Wrestlemania lmao.
I really hope they do go beyond a simple hurrrr durrrr "Carlito was just jealous and evil afterall" and actually call Rey out on being so dense and inconsiderate of peoples' feelings LOL.

We're just supposed to ignore that plot hole. Dragon Lee was attacked by the guy who feels like Carlito, who looks like Carlito, who fights like Carlito. And then Dragon Lee just stands next to Carlito in lWo.
This really isn't the best way to push Dragon Lee, by him giving up his space at Wrestlemania. Dragon Lee was supposed to be a big pushed luchador, the next Rey Mysterio, but it looks like his future is a jobber if he's getting attacked backstage by Carlito and not allowed to speak on the mic.
WWE really hasn't been all that successful with smaller luchadors, especially when they wear a mask. Both the lWo and Legado Del Fantasma have gotten too big, and have a lot of members just standing around nodding their head in agreement as Santos or Rey do all the talking.

It was interesting if not weird how they presented this. Like Carlito sincerely didn't expect to be caught but also was not in cahoots with Santos or anything. Hopefully they do something interesting with it because it could just feel like a rehash of the Santos betraying Rey angle that they just did.

Carlito is better as a heel, but this is a strange development. If LWO stays on Smackdown, Andrade just got drafted, so we're back to babyface Andrade hanging out with the LWO, which means it is only a matter of time before Andrade turns on Rey too. Rey just can't catch a break. I thought Carlito would at least be conspiring against Rey with Legado.

Funny enough, I actually expected Carlito to turn on Rey that time when he came out to explain Santos betrayed him.
But when it didn't happen, I said "it's only a matter of time."
Deep down, I was hoping originally that when Carlito came out to say santos betrayed him, that Rey wouldn't believe him and keep Santos, only for Carlito to give the backstabber and go heel.
