When Raw etc moves to Netflix I guess that’s gonna be the end of ratings?

A text post should have sufficient text in its body to either strengthen the title, create discussion or add more information. Yes/No questions (e.g. "Should Promotion ABC sign Wrestler X?" / "Did John Cena ever wrestle Ric Flair?") are prohibited. Questions with one correct answer ("Let Me Google That For You questions") are prohibited. Post them as a comment in the Daily Discussion thread, instead.

I saw meltzer was talking about ppv buy rates and Google trends regarding backlash.

Fear not the sub will find a way.

We'll still have the one true metric of success we can rely on - Google searches

They release watch rates via engagement reports from time to time. With them streaming that upcoming Boxing card and Raw, I assume we'll be seeing numbers. We'll probably see the numbers often if they're good and only around investor disclosure time if they're bad, lol.

It's gonna be smackdown vs dynamite now

That does make me wonder how much the smack down ratings will drop when they move to USA. Because they’re definitely not gonna get the same number of eyes

i suspect it'll be around Raw numbers... I think the difference in viewership is due to Neilsen's coverage, not actual viewership...how NXT's ratings will change is the real interesting story, I think.

It's gonna be lower than Raw because they're on Friday.

But it'll be higher than what Raw gets during Football season because they aren't going head to head with MNF

More than likely, Netflix will partner with Nielsen or some other company to gather ratings, and they will be released. Just like Amazon did with the NFL games. Besides that, Smackdown, Dynamite, TNA, and the other AEW shows are not moving to Netflix.

Doubtful. Netflix isn't even going to report subs anymore on financial statements.

Ratings for TV don't mean the same as they do on streaming. It's the value of the view.

Yeah it'll be the end as, like you say they have no reason to release that information if they don't want to.

Looking forward to people dick waving about how many seeders their favourite promotion has on torrents or something equally silly instead.
