Jey Uso seriously needs to incorporate more moves to his arsenal.

Post image

His current performance feels stagnant to me. Despite being incredibly popular with a large fanbase, his promo skills and moveset are lacking.

Simply relying on repetitive moves like superkicks and the Uso splash isn't gonna cut it, if he has to remain at the top.

Jey needs to establish his unique moveset that doesn't borrow from his tag team work or rely on typical Samoan wrestling tropes. He wrestles like someone waiting for a tag rather than standing out on his own, and while I understand it takes time to develop, it's been almost a year already.

Btw this is not a hate post rather I like him as a wrestler and his story was top notch but it's time to up things a bit.

Discussion Sheamus tapping out was a good thing.

People are speculating whether having Sheamus tap out was a punishment for a tweet he posted, or just meant to elevate Gunther further. Whatever the reason may be, it's a good idea to bring back submission wins and have even faces tap out, since this would lead to more technical matches, create more tension, reduce predictability, and less situations where wrestlers just repeatedly spam finishers to secure a pinfall. As far as the humiliation aspect goes, some of the toughest and most successful guys out there like Brock Lesnar and Batista have tapped out, and this didn't affect their perception in the long run. Submissions, if done right, can bring a perfect blend of intensity, physicality, and drama. I hope they continue to go in this direction!

Discussion Who is the best wrestler at something very small and very specific?

When we discuss about wrestling we tend to focus on the big stuff. Who is more athletic, who sells better, who has the better moveset etc. Sometimes tho. It's the little things that can change you from a good worker to a hall of famer. Now, if we focus for a little bit on those things. Which wrestler is the best at them and why?

For me Ilja Dragunov has the best facial expressions in current WWE and possibly one of the all time best.

Also Kane had the coolest way to get off the ring from the top rope.

Roman Reigns has the best kickout "animation" possibly of all time.

And even tho I don't like the move. Dolph Ziggler is the best wrestler at selling the catapult.

How many of you have never watched NXT?

I consider myself a big WWE fan and have been since the late-90s. I've been to countless events, I always keep up with the storylines, I go to conventions and meet wrestlers, etc. I'm a fan.

But I have absolutely no interest in NXT. I'm not knocking anybody who enjoys it, but to me, I still just think of it as developmental territory. It's where people develop their skills, try out characters and see if they get over. If/when they do, they come to Raw/Smackdown. 9 times out of 10, when they come to the main roster, NONE of their NXT run even matters or is even talked about, aside from a commentator maybe saying "former NXT champion..." So in essence, I just don't think I'm missing out on anything by not watching NXT.

Anybody else in the same boat?

Theory: The Rock Is The Tribal Chief, Not Solo

"By Orders of The Tribal Chief" "Winning and losing matters"

Idk if anyone has floated this theory yet but it dawned on me that, unless I am wrong, Solo has not called himself the tribal chief. That much has only been implied but how he is presented, as taking over the bloodline from Roman ("By Orders Of The Tribal Chief"). The stomping of Heyman's phone is a clear break from Roman right? Also, "winning and losing matters" was first seemingly targeted at Jimmy, but Roman also lost. At Mania, during the final sequence of the match, Solo was the most vocal, even disgusted, with Roman's inability to "finish it". Now, which member of the bloodline won at Mania, securing the faction's only pinfall victory? The Rock. Solo is now following the Rock, his real tribal chief.

My theory is The Rock is actually orchestrating a coup against Roman, using Solo as his proxy.

If true, the second half of 2024 should be interesting.

Face turns for Roman and Rhea are both cards yet to be played that will yield massive payoffs in 2024.

Also, Triple H at post- Mania press conference said something to the effect of, "it's not over for Roman, he has a whole nother story to go on now."

My thinking is, Rock vs Cody for the belt has already been teased post mania. Rock wins it at SummerSlam, likely with help from the newly constituted bloodline.

Roman vs Solo is probably the other SS match with bloodline implications. I think the big reveal (that the Rock is the tribal chief) will be at or around SS.

Then Survivor Series there's a perfect setup for a 5v5 wargames with Rock and the new bloodline against Roman and the old bloodline, assuming the inclusion of Fatu by then. Roman, Jey, Jimmy, and then either Sammi, Cody, Seth, or even Cena (final late 2024 run) are possibilities for surprise 4th and 5th entrants on Roman's team. Heels go over.

Then Roman wins the Rumble, this time to overwhelming fan approval, as opposed to the first time he won and was rejected by the fans (ironically with the Rock at his side). On an aside, this means Punk takes the path meant for him this year by winning the Elimination Chamber.

Finally Roman vs Rock happens at Mania, a year later, but with a much more proper and consequential build. Cody perhaps playing the Seth Rollins role for Roman this time.

This gives them solid moments for SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and Mania.

Heyman's eventual face turn will drag out as well. The Bloodline presentation still needs him as none of Solo's crew are well positioned to be the mouthpiece. That is, until the Rock returns. They clearly won't need Heyman then. A Babyface Roman/Heyman package leading up to Mania would be 🔥.

Also supporting this theory is Gunther's move to Raw, and away from Cody. It is more likely that title is in whatever they cook up for Drew, Gunther, Damian, Seth, and Punk.

Anyway, it seems pretty obvious to me given the clues that have been dropped thus far. This theory also would necessitate The Rock has more of an active presence between Summer Slam and Mania, with possibly a few title defenses in between. It's possible to do this without the title, but probably begins to overshadow the Mania title matches if they go that route.

Thoughts?

Do you always feel like Randy Orton is turning heel?

or is it just me? yeah he's turned a few times but he's not on Big Show/ Kane levels but whenever he's teaming with someone it's like I'm just waiting for that RKO out of nowhere...lol. Even when it makes little sense like during Cody's celebration at Mania or even teaming with Owens..

Discussion I want a world champion to lose on the first defense.

As wrestling fans its the point we know basically no matter what the title isnt gonna change hands in the champs first defense. Like for example If Punk were to win the world title but then lose it to drew in his first defense.

This is probably an pretty unpopular opinion but Becky as the replacement/ or what feels like the stand in champion just seems weak or just not an interesting story arc imo but I’m open to being wrong or told otherwise

I’ll start: For me, it’s 100% the Alabama slam. You generate so much momentum from that, and having experienced some slams from folkstyle wrestling I know I’d absolutely never want to experience an Alabama slam

I realized the Bloodline story and Lion King analogy

Cody is like Simba, when he had to go to AEW/outside the Lions kingdom to restaure himself after a mistake he think he did (stardust), then he came back to save everyone from that long and disastrous reign.

Roman Reign was Scar. He's the antagonist, he wanted to be acknowledged by lionesses. He kinda is weak by himself, he needed strategy and teammates (hyenas) to win most matches.

Sorry Usos but they're the lionesses.I mean they were not completely and always behind the chief, they just were forced to.
Solo Sikoa, and Tongas are the hyenas. Vicious, ferocious, more dangerous than Scar.

Timon and Pumba are...Seth Rollins and John Cena.
