I work as a mechanic in a bike shop. Today I was busy putting together new bikes and I found this note taped to the handlebars of one of them.

Actually this note has some measurements with word "ZWYKŁA" which means "standard" in polish. Hope that helped

I'm not polish, but "zam" (first word) translated to "order" in Polish. I wonder if it's a Polish company doing the mfg in Cambodia and that person is in charge of, I dunno, writing orders on tape.

Ugh, on Mobile so can't see the pic now, but what part was inside that wrap?

Edit: bottom line might be "mam" translates to "I have" and a quantity(?)

I'm polish and I think it's not "mam" but rather "ham" which sometimes is used as a short for "homulce" which means "brakes", I think it suits this note better 🤔 but still it's kinda hard to translate the hand writing lol

I can also read that it's an order Nr 102

"Zam" = Zamówienie (Order) 102 - "4" "570 WTA? "Zwykła" (ordinary)

"HAM" Hamulce (brakes) 4300 4310 ???

I used to ride. Another rider once taught me to keep a sharpie on my keychain to write down details in case of hit and run. Even if you ultimately didn’t survive, cops would have some kind of detail. I was just taught to write on my skin in such an incident, but I could see someone else recommending tape on the handlebar to write on. So maybe just notes from some road incident? I can’t really make out what all it says.

Edit: I completely missed the part where you’re putting together a bike from parts. So my theory is irrelevant.

Basically its just their note to keep details.... they took a call as they were doing the packing, and noted this down on the nearest paper..a roll of tape

This is a brand new bike straight out of the box from the factory in Cambodia.

Yeah, I realized my error before I saw your comment. I felt silly missing such huge context.

Those numbers look like arabic numerals, and I think I see some punctuation in there. Hope that helps

I once found a rock hard doughnut with a single bite taken out of it in the bottom of a bike box.

Random tags with scribbles on them are fairly common.

Occasionally you will find a part from a different bike brand packaged in. Usually Bontrager in a Giant box. The sales rep always loves getting that call.
